Thelma and Louise is what made college-age me fall in love with 60's Thunderbirds. 20+ years later I finally got my own '61 'vert after years of pining away for one.

Pull my finger

That's one Minnie I'd love to take for a test drive.

3RTL661 it appears to me. Report away, Mini driver.

tsmooth, the first rule is something about you providing rhubarb pie for the members during weekly meetings. IIRC

Are you guys gonna try to make it to Cars and Coffee tomorrow at the Oasis? Officially it's 10am-1pm but folks start showing up before 9. If it's not raining, I'll be there with my '61 T-Bird.

Posted my T-Bird a couple days ago. The tonneau is a bit of a cheat but even without it the trunk could land a helicopter.

:) Even without the cover the deck goes all the way to that second seam. Looks like a huge trunk but with the top down all you can carry in there is a 12-pack of beer.

Acres and acres of picnic table.

What's the longest rear deck out there? My T-Bird's is as long as the rest of the car.

I'll happily show their women the conveniences of the Bird like the swing-away steering for easy egress/ingress and the fully

I'm the opposite. One thing I really miss about our old 5-Series was the HUD. When we replaced it with a Golf R with no HUD it was disorienting for a few days. I especially liked that turn-by-turn directions appeared to float in space and not having to glance at the GPS and kill my night vision.

Of course we have double-decked car transporters. The thing with the video is the two car wide bit. Are you saying where you live that's normal? One truck coming the opposite way on that road and it all comes down.

This was before air suspensions so that's not a worry. Also, the 'bullet holes' are actually the mounting points from brush guards for the tail lights. My Classic has the same decoration. The problem with the guards was they stuck out farther than any other piece of body work and caught on everything so many people

A real Defender gets dirty. Not poses in a parking lot.

I'm in the process of selling my 90. Maybe I should wait and see if these ugly things make people want a real Defender even more. Anyone looking for a '94 D90 NAS?
