Something something the car you can buy from a Chevrolet dealer TODAY is inferior (but not in range, etc) to one you can get two years in the future when Tesla finally figures out mass production. Good to know. I’m sure people with a fresh 2 year lease will want to be informed. People that want the exact same range

My apologies, when this very website mentions Volvo + Self Driving Cars (multiple times) and doesn’t mention Uber I assumed it was their tech.

So...not the smallest or the highest capacity (it was neither), nor close to the first....at least our crazy uncle Elon can claim the latter since GM was selling the EV1 in the early 90s and Lithium Ion batteries weren’t something you could jam into a car yet.

You mean like Steve Jobs picked up one of the current crop of mp3 players, added rounded corners, painted it white and (in this case) built a few charging stations?

AFAIK it is not, they just have a website based ride hailing app and aspirations to replace all of you meatbags with robots since that would increase profits.

Why do we keep calling these things “Uber” when they are Volvos. I mean, I get that Volvo doesn’t want to lose their safety image but Uber is more or less trying out their cars in ‘murica’.

I’m sorry I offended you. Also which Tesla model do you own?

I’ve seen this at the Peterson museum and it’s certainly cool (along with the General Motors EV1) for showing how “innovative” Tesla was in basically reviving a 100 year old car and throwing a BMW-esque body and Lithium batteries at it.

I miss the Plymouth Roadrunner, its horn even made the correct noise. It was certainly not the greatest handing car but Chrysler/Dodge would throw pretty much any motor they made into one, as opposed to Ford/GM who were small-block only on performance cars.

Well played, and also sad. How can the same company that made the Dodge Hellcat and Viper produce a flaming turd like this?

“the Bubble Era, when Japanese carmakers felt free to build their cars and components to last, with the utmost quality.”

Eh...that was the build premise but I would be totally shocked if even after all that scrounging he ended up with more car for less money.

So you would have retained the 75 gross hp factory 6? (my generous guestimate, it was less net for sure).

Came for this...dumb movie but yes gen-1 mustang is more or less a falcon coupe...tons of stuff bolts right up.

It would be a bit tight but all it takes to shift an automatic is a piece of wire. You would have quite a short driveshaft but it would improve the weight balance of that car-truck by 1000%

Also once upon a time...this guy (Pontiac is a tribe of Indians after all, and PC/SJW culture wasn’t a thing in the 1950s)

I believe this is the Pontiac Mascot you were looking for earlier...

Yes but unfortunately he’s now getting the same mandatory sexual assault we get in the airport security line.

When I had my Cannonball Run vehicle, I got very consistent mileage no matter how far I pushed to go pedal.

...and also that 7 liter motor was just on the “starter” Cadillac.
