Ok, but can we not derail the conversation? This man saying he wants his ex-wife dead is not the same as exes bitching about each other in general. This boy is growing up with an obviously unstable father. Who knows when dad’ll just up and decide the best revenge he can get against his ex is by taking it out on her

My dad did that about my mum. She never defended herself. As a young teenager I was so angry with her and couldn’t understand how she let him do that to her, and I was really unsympathetic. I hated him for saying it, and hated her for putting up with it.

Do not get me started on divorced parents badmouthing each other to the kids, I hate it! I once had to take a woman aside once to point out that her daughter was 50% her DNA and 50% her ex’s - the same ex she spent all of dinner bashing. Even after I said “How would you like to have a dinner where the topic of

YESSS I saw this the other day and I was like OMG I LOVE HER.

I realize this is just an undersigning what you said and not contributing to the conversation, but FUCK IT. LESLIE JONES FOR EVER.

Also, Captain Marvel, if his brain can't comprehend anything outside of comics.

That is so awesome and I instantly love him, and this is why. My daughter is in seventh grade and a boy looked at her one day when they were talking about comics and laughed saying girls can't be Captains. She was shocked and told him captain was a rank, and had nothing to do with being a boy, which baffled him. So

Suppressive person. It’s a Scientology term used to describe “antisocial” people (which usually means people who dislike Scientology).

Your comment reminded me of my dad. Yesterday, he went to talk to the 8th graders about Vietnam because he fought three tours there. They were learning about it in class. He was telling them about the pins on his hat and what they meant. He has a ranger pin because he went to Ranger school. He started to tell them

Yes. I did.

It’s official, Leslie Jones is my everything.

We had a family movie afternoon recently where wifey and I showed JujyJr “Ghostbusters” for his first time. He dug it. He seems to be excited about the remake where I will use as reinforcement for my “girls and boys can do their own things, and it’s cool, but sometimes they can do the same thing and it’s cool too”

I adore her and her crush on James Spader.

Leslie’s laugh when Kate said she used to be an umpire killed me.

My dad was in the military, so I grew up around military people, and there are certain people in or married to someone in the service, that are pretty much obsessed with getting everything they can get from that connection and milking it for all it’s worth. Not just tangible stuff either, but sympathy and attention.

oops. We’ll miss ya.

Could be worse - it could be like how they did in Victorian times, where they ACTUALLY took pictures of the dead person. It’s super-creepy when you realize the chair the dead kid is sitting on is ITS MOTHER UNDER A SHEET.

It definitely doesn’t seem like my cup of tea, but losing a child is something so awful that I can’t bring myself to judge anything that might bring comfort.

And she put up a GoFundMe for her funeral... stating she was a single mother that couldn’t pay for the funeral. Despite being an active duty soldier (Service Group Life Insurance policy for dependents & kids-from her or the child’s father) & separated from her husband..

Best kind of soothing there is
