in season 1 at least the show seemed to have great potential (and that trailer was phenomenal) but neither that season nor the book really lived up to the concept. at least imo.

so how has this season been? I kept meaning to come back since season 2, but damn if season one didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth (as did that country theme from season 2).

huckabee's father is a former governor, not senator

between this cancellation and them cancelling last man standing, it wasn't a good week for the "in my day, we strictly adhered to gender roles!" crowd.

if not emancipated, then perhaps a dropout who got his GED.

jim rash (Dean Pelton) is doing fairly well as a character actor.

Where else will I go for my anti millennial propaganda? All I have left is magazines, newspapers, other tv shows, the news, internet news, fake news, politicians, gen xers, baby boomers, asshole millennials and of course the asshole commenters who search for anything with the word "millennial" and comment, even if it

that's a good question and it's unclear. Ronaldo never mentions school and is usually working, but it's almost always summer, so it's hard to tell.

ever so often I'd see the end of an episode and the money amounts would have sudden, enormous changes which would almost be enough to make me wonder what happened, but not quite.

sounds about right. OFC I could also believe Lars had been held back a year or two and was 18 or 19, but still in high school.

that 90's show? what are you talking about? That episode never happened, I think you're hallucinating again AV Club.

Maybe. my theory is that they were made to be machines of war and there's some creator out there somewhere waiting for the gems to finish colonizing the universe.

the diamonds are going to be pissed then when they find out the crystal gems not only still exist, but stopped their cluster.

what does everyone think the ages are with lars and sadie? Barb said Sadie was an adult, but Lars is still in school. Though it's also possible he could have been held back, judging by those grades in the episode where Steven was in his body.

it was mentioned that gems are made to conquer planets, but it prompts the question, by whom? Unless the first gem just popped out of the ground randomly, someone must have made them. It's likely one of those tropes where robots/non organic life want to eradicate all organic life for reasons.

Did navy ever find out the cluster was stopped though?

It was surprising how the entire episode aired without commercials. I kept expecting a 5-10 minute commercial block a few minutes into the second episode, but thankfully it never came.

it's "Spiderman, Spiderman, Does whatever a spider can." Spiders can and do eat other spiders, ergo spiderman eats spiders.

one big improvement this season is that those bumpers are gone. Rewatched some of last season's episodes the other night and I'd forgotten how oddly jarring they were.

let tim say cuck!
