@KenJr: The employee will need to have a domestic partnership from the state I'm sure and need to have their domestic partner on their health coverage from Google (Which requires proof of a domestic partnership anyway). It's not as easy as walking in and saying, 'I'm gay, I want the extra pay'.

@Papa Smurf 79: This is the mindset that most likely inspired Google to extend this benefit to same-sex couples that have health insurance through Google. It's just fair is all... and be careful with the f-word... it's not exactly the most endearing of terms, and most frown upon its use. Homosexual, Gay, Lesbian &

@BluScrnOdeth: Kids aren't a requirement for marriage, so they are not a requirement for the tax break married couples already get when they have a shared health care plan. Google is just equalizing the pay (or making up the additional tax paid on 'extra income') between its married straight employees that have their

@cassiebearRAWR: lol. I never got my copy of 'The Agenda' at my coming-out ceremony. I feel left out. :(

@Kaiser-Machead: People seem to think these are 'special rights' and they are discriminating against straight people and single people... all they do is put partnered gays and lesbians on the same playing field as married couples. Equality just doesn't seem to be as simple of a concept to some as it should be. *sighs*

WOW. Another reason to love Google. Here in Utah, we can't even get fair housing or employment rights for gays & lesbians passed without our elected officials conferring with the LDS Church first on how they should vote. Funny that Google takes 'Don't be evil' more seriously than a church. Yay Google!

I used to work for a relay company (for the hard of hearing) and they used Sidekicks all the time. T-mobile offered a data only plan for the phone, and the company even paid part of the service cost for some users just to help keep them connected and able to communicate. What's going to take its place?

Isn't waggling more than twice playing with yourself?... Oh, maybe that's what 'pet tiger' means. NOW i get it. (^o^)

"We believe the InstaLoad feature can make a difference in the lives of those people who need and use these products on a daily basis."

Looks like I jumped the T-Mobile ship a few days to early. Oh well, still happy with my Evo. It's like the HD2's cooler, older brother in college. :)

What in gay hell Apple? Either build a phone that works when people hold it the way they've held their cell phones for 20+ years, or, give everyone a bumper if you can't. Simple. Just don't blame us (consumers) for your mistake. Most of us aren't stupid enough to buy that excuse.

Put it on Android and I'll pay the subscription. Hell, let's just get Netflix on Android! C'mon Netflix! I want you on my Evo!

@HiddenCommenter: I used the 'Simple Root' to root my EVO. It worked, in 3 clicks! Easiest root ever!

@zaxwashere: You're right about that... IF you can get the 4g network. :) Still, I'm pretty happy. The droid X looks like a very nice choice too on Verizon. I'd be happy with either the Evo or the X if I didn't have the 4g network available. I'm just glad I finally ditched T-mobile.

@coldfuzion: I recommend the Evo. It does video calling too and you can be on 3g, 4g or wifi. 4.3" screen. Kickstand. 4g network. HDMI output. Oh, and no glass back to break. Did I mention the 4g network? (I'm averaging 3mbps in SLC and the network isn't even officially 'on'... not until this weekend I hear *shhhhh*)

I can see how people can be upset about Google 'ripping software out of people's phones', but... if the software was misrepresented and people downloaded it, most would have noticed the software wasn't working as described and would have uninstalled it anyway. I would have. So how many people could this possibly have

@golferal: I've had great luck on 3g, 4g and wifi. No problems whatsoever (except once when I was covering the front camera with my thumb and couldn't figure out why the hell it wasn't working... but that doesn't count!). It has worked flawlessly on my Evo.
