I read this and it was very enjoyable. I finished it all in two days, so for me not to put it down is saying something right there. I think the problem that some reviewers are having with it is that this is not really a “reveal” book plot-wise like a pandemic “Sixth Sense”. If fact, the book tells us right away that

American Psycho. It was entertaining as hell in places, but the nihilism and violence is so much and so evil that I never want to see it again.

So title of article has nothing to do with the interview..sigh

This is a very interesting study and as a lawyer agree with its conclusions. But the one criticism I have of it is trying to make an apples to apples comparison between DUI’s and possessing a firearm. It really does not hold up. First, DUI laws are getting more and more stringent, not less. Twenty years ago it was a

This is the CW’s “big gun” property so there will be a lot of hype.  I am not sold on them suddenly aging up and making the kids twins, as that seems to be “arrowversing” this already.  But I will keep an open mind.

This is the first episode of the series I really did not like at all. For the first time, it really seemed like they were straining to contort to what they wanted to do with the plot rather than it look organic.

I would agree, but they have tried that now twice going back 30 years and it has not worked. There is something just more complex about Dune that makes it hard for regular people to get into it. Unlike Star Wars where they could just say “Empire bad” I think the complexity here with an emperor who is bad?? maybe? With

Yes, but it obviously did not work since Dune is considered one of the biggest bombs of all time

Yes, I was not being that specific.  I meant more of a messiah thing and just said jesus

haha yep, that is the very, very abridged version. The problem is 1. knowing and explaining why the land is valuable, as it is basically the entire point of everything, 2. understanding the dynamics of the emperor and the families and really how this universe works, 3. understanding who is “good” and who is “evil”, 4.

I would be very surprised if this does well. The main problem with Dune is that it is a niche audience where a small percentage of Sci-fi fans LOVE it, and everyone else thinks it is byzantine, confusing and a Jesus story knock off. It is literally one of those properties that are much better on paper as a novel can

Complete fake news. One person got covid and died. The amount of money they say it “cost” they are claiming is ludicrous. There were only 120 new cases in South Dakota. You really need to pull this article. The information is fake

echo chamber fair for partisans.

Yeaah they try to explain this huge plot hole by saying there wasn’t..but even still, why anyone with a brain would just sit there and let three terrorists with pieces of glass take over the plane after 9/11 is just sooo dumb it was really distracting.

Yeah, that was one of many head scratching moments in this movie.  They try to “explain” it, but it is frankly unbelievable.  That is one of the reasons it really has never happened again after  2001, because terrorists forever burned that kind of attack.  It isn’t even a question of courage, since if you are on a

I saw this the other day and it was a pretty awful movie. Yes, the forced black and white perspective of the pilot watching the terrorists demanding he open the door was kind of novel and dramatic, but the plot was basically an idiot plot and I really have no idea what the movie was trying to “say”.

The federal government cannot stop people from getting evicted. it is a state issue. And now wanting countries to end anti-homosexual laws is “racist” against brown people..said by no one ever except here. Man, are you guys in the tank

I agree that is also a theme, but Stormfront being evil without the others or homelander making her that seems to imply that the “corporate” did not make her that way, she is just that way and in this world (with the obvious exception so far with Starlight) superheroes are pretty much awful people, or become that way

I never read the comic, but saw some synopses of it, and it is almost amazing that they even tried to make a show out of this, not alone they really edited the worst bits to get a pretty decent show out of it.  It is dark nihilistic stuff
