You should get the first one on sale with the DLC if you can. The open world is a lie, the megatexture tech wasn’t really there yet, and the story is dumb, but the gunplay is absolutely top-tier.

Fallout, basically. Giant meteor hits earth, earth governments pool resources to load up a select group of people with nanotech and shove them in cryostasis until after things settle down so they can get the world back up and running. One ark(that’s the cryo units they put people in) activates, you’re the sole…
This is a question I feel was addressed beautifully in Nier: Automata, and to a lesser extent in Fallout 4. 4's exploration of the Gen 3 synths as sapient beings whose free will is being undermined by their masters raises some difficult ethical questions about whether it’s right to let such a creature exist with the…
I became something of a minor architecture nerd in my early 20's(not all that long ago, but long enough), and when I started looking into the famous buildings of Detroit, it pained me to see how a beautiful city and its people had been abandoned, and it’s brought me no small amount of joy to see spaces like this be…
It didn’t. Much as I loved this game(I own this exact CE and paid full price for it because support the devs blah-blah-blah), Bethesda refusing/failing to officiate sales numbers says a lot. Personally, I think that the game is the victim of coming out at an inopportune time and suffering from some volatile marketing…

So, Muscle Wizard?
Your game sounds like Konosuba: D&D edition.
Man this comments section is a dumpster fire. Anyway, Patrick, I feel like I’m one of the few out here that are on your side on this one. She clearly wants to try and salvage the marriage, and you’re laying out good advice to her, since she’s the one you’re communicating with on this issue. I do wonder if there were…
Unconfirmed, but likely to be a Game of Thrones RPG. As far as engines go, who knows? I don’t know how easy it would be to build an ARPG with mod tools in idTech, but they do have access to that tech, and it would prove a major jump from their current engine in terms of fidelity and functionality.
The alleged, heavily rumored Starfield. I would be stoked to see what they could do with such a premise. I wouldn’t be shocked to see them borrow some people from Arkane for it, since they recently did a space game, like how they borrowed some iD people for getting the gunplay right in Fallout 4.
Oh, I’m sure they’re working on it, but it’s likely in the pre-planning phase at the moment while they try to get these other titles out of the door. From what we’ve seen of their work flow from that tour video they did a few years back, games seem to flow in a cadence, and they let their concept and design teams…
Todd Howard said in an interview last year or the year prior that there would be two fresh IP produced by BGS before we saw the next Elder Scrolls. I’m hoping that we see something big coming out this year, as they’ve been quiet since Fallout 4, and I’m curious to see what would be involved in a new IP from a studio…
How many other highly recognizable video game bar severs can you name? Besides Erika is best girl.
I’m often amazed at the outrage of those sorts at the sheer audacity of game developers to make things that aren’t geared towards the 18-35 set. I recall seeing similar outrage coming about when Skylanders first rolled onto the scene.
Fair enough. I feel like I’ve probably conflated your complaint with some of the other ones I’ve seen online regarding the show’s progression, and it is fair to assess that outside of the world building I mentioned, the only major plot points have been ‘Hiro can ride with 02 more than thrice’ and ‘we’re heading…
I won’t argue that, but we can’t pretend like her reasons for separating the two are entirely altruistic, and she knows at this point that despite the risks, 02 is the only pistil that Hiro can pilot with. I agree that she made the right call, at least at first, but she made it largely for selfish reasons. Everyone…
We’ve actually learned quite a bit about the world and how it works, and it’s been presented largely organically, which I personally prefer to infodump episodes, but to each their own.
I’m honestly curious as to where you draw the line on over-the-top, if KlK was fine for you but DitF isn’t. As far as where it clicks, it hasn’t yet. The show seems fine with a relatively slow burn focused on interpersonal drama before we hit the switch on the big fight at Grand Crevasse, which I’m betting will be…
Well, the beginning of that episode was pretty obviously a dream of his own birth, so maternal affection felt more appropriate to the interpretation.
Because there’s an actual plot attached to all of the fanservice, and we’re probably about to start tugging on the strings at the frayed edges of the throw rug over the dark heart of the show. I predict we’re going to see Hiro find out exactly how the klaxos came about, APE’s roll in the whole thing, and go full on…
