but asking the fans most likely to pay 60 bucks for 1/20th of a game is just a big no no, especially when you consider that the most likely fanbase to play this knows just how much game isn’t there.

I have played FF7 approx 35 times in the last 22 years of my life, I’m not playing FF7R expecting FF7, I’m playing FF7R for a BRAND NEW VISION of the game I played 22 years ago.

I find this whole “Pay $60 for 1/20 of the game is dumb” argument to be ridiculously stupid. You do realize that you’re paying not for the story but the new game in its entirety right? If you just want the story, I have news for you, just don’t buy it and watch a LetsPlay. You think Square can just crap out games of

You might want to point out what actually is wrong with them. Those photos look fine to me.

You really should consider updating this article to specify what exactly it is about these figures that is so objectionable, because to a lay person, it is not clear at all from the photos alone.  I'm genuinely curious!

Others pointed out that there was something off or uneasy about the figurines as those steps were skipped.

I don’t know. I think they are fine. Especially for a lottery giveaway type thing. Now if they were charging $300+ dollars for each then perhaps more scrutiny would be required but come on.

They look fine? Especially for a $7 lottery prize.

For sure. And if someone wants premium figures of these characters, the play arts kai line from square enix is great. These are cheap lottery figures, they look nicer than the other cloud figure I've gotten from a blindbox in the past.

As long as they’re not $200 figures, I’m not really seeing the problem.  They look fine to me.

They really don’t look that bad, even close up.

770 yen for a chance to win them! Of course they’d be cheap lottery or capsule level quality.

I don’t get it either. If I paid $7 and got this I would be perfectly fine with it.

Same. I feel like this is one of those Magic Eye things which I could never see.

I still think they look fine up close idk

As a long time fan of the series, yeah, Diablo III was way better on consoles. I don’t think the first two games (which are WAY better) would work as well but D3 was definitely a good time with my friends on the xbox. It kinda felt like Diablo III was made with consoles in mind, honestly.

Doc Brown was wrong.

I get that English has really stupid rules, but gif (pronounced jif) follows none of them unless you suddenly decide that the beginning pronunciation of a word is only controlled by the first two letters. Unfortunately that’s not how it works. It follows no colloquial pronunciations either. If it is a soft-g it

Nope, gift and gif are different words. I’ve been in IT since 1999 and everyone pronounced it like ‘Jif’, because that’s how the inventor pronounced it and a lot more information was through word of mouth back then. Like someone else here said, it’s just late-comers to the internet who were ignorant of that and pronoun

As has been pointed out, “aluminium” is the accepted spelling only outside of North America, and the funny thing is that it only exists because British editors thought it’d sound better to end in -ium like other elements haha. Not to detract from your overall point though, you do tend to lose control of things once
