I would be quite happy with this. As someone who never used WebOS before the fire sale, but picked up a touchpad because I couldn't resist paying less than it cost to build (unless I'm wrong on that), I am happy with WebOS, but I like choices even more. (Mainly because WebOS is dead, or undead, or some other

Try talking with the neighbor. It doesn't take care of the pre-existing odor, but it could prevent there being any additional coatings of tar on your living space.

Fifteen dollars? Fifteen dollars?

I don't want to see what you did there.

This. Depending on price, it could be worthwhile. If I have to pay $5.00 / channel, then it is a horrible deal. Somewhere from $0.50 to $2.00, that might be more palatable. If I can pay for Limited Basic and add on a channel I actually want for $2.00, that sounds like a steal to me.

Pogoplugs are fun to play with. I have abandoned mine for too long, but at some point I will poke at them again. Just give archlinuxarm.org a look.

Doesn't prove that he doesn't use it for work. Likely he does not, but still, without proof of it this seems somewhat petty. 3K for champagne, or massages, etc, that would be right out, and if his lessons were "lessons," then that would be in the same category, but the fact that your brother had a near-miss with his

Not to say that they are actually used correctly, but wouldn't these televisions generally be in place for the sake of watching news programs? That would be something that could potentially help these people with their jobs, rather than as a means of wasting their time and your money.

Just because someone can speak a language does not mean that they are qualified / capable of teaching it. Assuming he needs to speak Chinese for his job, or he paid for it out of his pocket rather than yours, it doesn't make a lot of sense to deride him for seeking professional instruction.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Comcast is going to separate that bandwidth usage out so that I'm not getting dinged for using their service, right? If so, that might be interesting, though not necessarily all that useful (if even available, as I have limited basic...). If not, just another way for Comcast to screw us.

Live TV? Go on...

This is really obnoxious. Why not filter by IP, only streaming to one at a time? That cuts down on people sharing their accounts with friends (which cuts into profits, obviously), yet lets families using the service so that kids can watch one thing and parents can watch another (or even each kid or each parent watch

This. SG1 was good for a while, then just got too campy for me, and a bit too serialized. Same with Atlantis. I know, Stargate was a bit of a silly movie to begin with, but I enjoyed it. SGU was gritty, and though it had flaws, and though I only managed to see a few episodes on Hulu before getting too busy to

Seriously doubting that, there was no need to say it was "dead" if they wanted to try and saturate the market with WebOS. They could have just drastically cut the price, gauged the results, waited a bit, and then made a decision.

Was thinking the same thing. These hipster hacks would have made better art taking high-speed photos of the paint jumping out of the speakers, or just of the aftermath. Instead, gimmicky rubbish.

If someone starts doing a $50 gift card deal with this, I may just have me a PS3... Amazon, don't fail me now.

...Google... being evil?

At least on Xbox 360, it isn't that bad. All the kids shows go in front, all the shows for the grownups go in the back. Kids use it more frequently, so that layout makes sense. Time for adult show? Hold down the right shoulder button until the noise stops, then scroll right-to-left.

This looks nice. Been happy with Netflix as a whole for a while now. Unfortunately, I still have one fairly big gripe. Streaming on Xbox 360 STILL does not have subtitles. That would be just as kid-friendly as this stuff, so that we can watch shows at night while the kids are asleep without having to blast the
