Yep, pretty much. The Wii makes a gross grinding noise when games are spun up, and those old games aren't worth my repairing the system. They are, however, an added bonus to a new console. As are all the Wii games I have.

That's something very important to me. Without it, my gamecube games become worthless. Or I have to keep and / or fix my old, dusty wii.
Thinking the same thing. The "family" console has a Kinect, and barely has enough space for it to be usable. The 360 on my desk does not, obviously due to lack of space. I don't want to spend $150 to be able to use voice commands. It is still damn tempting, even with the obscene cost...
Not buying it until I know it is Wii U compatible. Is that thing sticking with the same sensor bar? I don't even own a PS3, but nothing like being prepared for it...
Anyone criticizing or questioning the real world performance of the finalized Wii U console, and the reality of the promised and proposed functionality, is doing Nintendo a favor, unless they are just Microsoft or Sony fanatics. (Haters gonna hate.) If the Wii U is truly as powerful and innovative as Nintendo has…
Scrolled through all the above comments just to find this post and add my agreement.
It could also be a previous generation console. And a current generation console. Or a portable gaming console. All depends on the hardware, the software, etc.
Everyone loves the cloud saves. That sounds great for backup purposes, but for everything else why not just use a USB stick?
You do if there's DLC involved, unless your second console has the DLC on a USB or something.
Yes. USB stick is the new Memory Card. You effectively create a memory card out of the USB stick. I use this to move from my smaller television to the living room TV after the kids are in bed. Even better, you can pop DLC and arcade games on there, just like the memory card, but with it being up to 16GB it is…
I only respond to low-ball offers if they are 1) polite, and 2) either provides proof that the item really is of lower value than I proposed or suggest they are willing to haggle a bit.
Peer Molyneux and Steve Jobs should work together on creating the most self-congratulatory, hyperbolic product reveal of all time. Not only will words like amazing be 90% of the presentation, but the product would also have to be dramatically scaled back so that it can actually be completed.
So do I have to pay for it again? My guess is yes, my hope is no.
Knockoff kapton tape works nicely for blue LEDs. Just go to some cheapo site like DealExtreme, buy a roll, and put a small piece over the LEDs. Had this on my work computers for a long time, can't sleep at night without the LEDs dimmed a bit.
Anyone else feel just a little bit smaller than before?
While it may be sad, I am more excited about this than Deus Ex: Human Revolution coming out in August.
Oh, crap. I'm pretty sure "Duke Nukem Forever gets released" is one of those signs that the end of the world is near...
I have to admit, if I had the disposable income I would be buying one of these to put alongside my Nook Color...
That's pretty nice. I can't imagine buying a computer pre-built that I can build myself, however there are certainly benefits to it, and this is a good looking machine. The low-end model doesn't sound to be THAT much more expensive than buying the parts.
What, you don't like the multiple slight variations of the same obnoxious character that Wiig plays?
