I know this is a silly thing to get hung up on, but the fact that that chart runs bottom-to-top but left-to-right is completely breaking my brain’s ability to parse it. I feel like it should be either fully forward (top-to-bottom) or fully reversed. (right-to-left) Is this somehow a product of Japanese’s RTL ordering?
I really love this thing’s weird, cartoony art style, too. I think it fits his sort of game way better than the poor attempts at realism in DP and D4.
It seems to be very labor-intensive, making sure the shaders and models come out right. They did a talk about it at GDC a few years ago. (re: Guilty Gear Xrd, not DBFZ, but the tech looks to be the same)
I’m a total Macross newb. Who’s that guy with the sweet glasses?
As in the old phrase “I’m not crying; someone’s just cutting onions.”
For the people who love it, what you’ve described IS what makes it so special. It feels like a Sonic game from the mid ‘90s, and that’s exactly what we wanted, and that’s exactly what Sega has been unable to deliver for over a decade. Plus, it sounds like it’s a really good execution on that concept.
These definitely read like trophies made by someone who doesn’t like trophies. :)
I wonder how Zodiac Age would look with a nice depth-of-field effect helping reduce unnecessary noise in the background.
Man, anime has been telling us this for decades.
Awwwwww, your dad is really awesome! Way to dad, dude!
FWIW, I did not get any functionality in SplatNet until I actually played Splatoon 2 with the linked account. I’m not sure if just creating my character in Splatoon 2 was enough or I had to play an online match first; I didn’t stop to check. But it’s definitely sensitive to your having played the game.
Oh man, yeah. That game is an indelible part of my memories. The larger stage size in the Sierra version allowed for some more complex puzzles. The graphics did a great job of conveying style and character, whether it was one of the several stage themes or the expressively-animated mad monks. I thought its additions…
This is really cool. So much of it looks “right” or how I remember Splatoon that I didn’t really notice the differences until now. Kudos to Nintendo for keeping the series true to itself!
Yup. And some people were expecting him as a playable character (though I don’t know if anyone expected him to be next) even before Sombra.
This thread is a perfect example of the kinds of problems caused by Kinja’s new behavior, where it won’t show you that a featured comment even HAS replies, yet it still lets you reply to it. How many of these people with identical replies do you think saw the featured OP, saw that it had “no replies,” thought “Oh man,…
That Sheikah scientist cosplay is SO GOOD!
As far as I can tell, that was really him. Devolver has been teasing that he would appear at their E3 event for a few days. (As part of their longer online flirtation that someday he’ll make a game for them, which has been a running joke between the two on Twitter for at least a year.) Having him show up and announce…
That day is today. <3
Of course he’s OP. He’s voiced by Matt Mercer. Does he call out “It’s High Noon.” too?
