I like to think that the kids who were raised on the original lineup of Nicktoons grew up to become thoughtful adults who approach daily life with intelligence, humor, and compassion.

OOTP and HBP are my two favorite installments of the series. The funny thing is that I don't necessarily disagree with the criticisms often leveled at them: much too long and plodding, wheel-spinning, Harry is a mopey wanker; etc.
Wasn't my mom a Betty? She died when I was just a baby. A freak accident during a routine liposuction!
Lord, I keep forgetting that Cobie Smulders is in this.
Come to think of it, it seems surprising that Scrubs never made any direct Clueless references or jokes with Faison. You'd think they would.
(Right after Cher and Josh get together,)
I wouldn't put "O" in the same tier as "Clueless" or "10 Things…", but it is quite good.
Apparently her mispronunciation was never in the script. It was legitimately how Silverstone pronounced "Haitians." Heckerling loved that touch so much, unintentional as it was, that she kept it in.
Well, this is a really good school.
I always like that aspect, too. I mean, for 1995, it's impressive how the flick avoids any gay stereotypes, save for maybe "He *does* like to shop, Cher. And the boy can dress." <—And this being "Clueless" and all, that's a stereotype that the movie treats as a good thing, not bad. I also like the badass moment it…
God, I love that line. Donald Faison kills it in this movie. And because I watched "Scrubs" pretty religiously throughout high school and some of college, my mind pretty much goes to Turk at this point, but he really will always be Murray.
I always took it as less "Travis is going to stop being a stoner" and more
"Travis is going to get more motivated and focused on his killer skateboarding skills."
I've heard lots of cool stuff about "Waking Life," but I've been putting off seeing it for the first time because I fear that I might have missed the boat, age-wise. Many friends of mine have spoken about their first viewings of the movie being these formative, life-changing experiences, and they were all in between…
You're not wrong about Hawke's declining looks, ElDan, but one of the pleasant surprises that "Sunset" had in store for me was how much more I liked his character the second time around.
"Sincere."
"The movie will be a biopic about the life of iconic singer Joni Mitchell."
It's just another thing that "Tiny Furniture" and "Armageddon" have in common.
Oh, come on. We're shitting on Steinbeck? I'm not saying the goober is unimpeachable, as he has his highs and lows like anyone else. But I wouldn't mind being buried with my copes of "The Grapes of Wrath" and "East of Eden."
Sorry to read that this new book doesn't seem to be up to snuff.
That's actually a pretty cool notion, @avclub-1b5a981324be8709c60bb0da354d55d1:disqus , but it's invalidated by Narrator Ted's consistent referral to Robin as "Aunt Robin."
