Close. An e-turbo adds a electric motor to the shaft between the turbine and compressor. An e-supercharger is just the compressor side. An e-urbocompound is just the turbine side to generate electricity (typically only used in big industrial equipment).

Yeah, but the two stroke diesels really only are environmentally friendly at WOT. That’s why they are used in Gen-Set applications (like diesel-electric trains), and not in automotive. Achates Diesel is trying to push for a 2stroke in a F150, but they still need to fix the low-throttle efficiency.
