Everyone compares Okami to Zelda but let's be honest; it straight ripped off Zelda. They stole the general game design, they stole numerous gameplay elements and styles, they stole staple items (bombs, vine=hookshot), they stole zora whirlpools, they even stole the postman. With all the Nintendo in the game, the only

@ThaiGrocer: yeah they'd probably have broken 20 billion instead

@tdreher: Valve isn't really a publisher. To some extent I guess they are with Steam, but they don't even publish their own games completely (I believe EA handles their console publishing?).

For all of the complaints PC gamers have, they're getting almost every single decent European and American release of this generation, plus PC exclusives, plus a handful of Japanese releases. It really has the most comprehensive library, I think.

I don't have a DS, but I think the R4 is a great little piracy tool. You can play all of the titles that you'd never be able to play normally. Plus, hey, free games. And everyone has one of them, it seems, including a lot of my non-gamer non-tech friends, and similarly unsavvy boarders on other forums I frequent. And

Ah cool, I'm at the final dungeon, almost caught up.

Wow.

Although maybe for this type of game they're not as necessary. I don't know, maybe I'm speculating too much.

No I like hotkeys, just that from what I understand Halo Wars has a limited number of them.

I mean, through no fault of it's own, the game can't have robust micro, macro, or multitask depth. I can't see how it would work well in multiplayer. Hm. At least the campaign will probably be fun.

I'm a big fan of RTS games and though I'm sure the control scheme is very adapted and intuitive, I can't imagine how it would be anything better than a watered down PC RTS. It looks like you get 1 base, control 1 army, limited hotkeys, less unit control, 2 races...

Kind of a racist article...

I never care much about game sales but for this game I'm considering some serious street-teaming. It's being done by the old Overworks crew, best known for Skies of Arcadia, my favorite game ever. I really hope all of you PS3 owners pick it up, and I'm kinda hoping for a big Kotaku hype machine push near release =)

ironic xenophobes and rational people futily trying to explain how the world works.

it's really a matter of perspective.

i'm kind of surprised people are upset over this. even if you have a shit pc you'll still probably be able to play it fine. is there really that much console loyalty now?

you guys do realize that most computers will probably be able to run diablo 2 and starcraft. they specifically make their games low-end playable. it probably won't come out for...god, who knows, 2 years? so a computer bought 3 years ago will probably be able to run it.

they should package it with a modified keyboard and mouse
