Sure seems like there are a number of people who have been fortunate enough to have their decisions go their way for long enough that it’s basically impossible for them to admit that they even have the capacity for making an incorrect call. Anything that happens is the fault of someone or something else.

Doesn’t mean it’s entertaining.  There is an overabundance of angry talking heads across the media landscape.  He was unique in being able to deploy his in a way that helped people laugh through it.

Wish I was a kid, but his humor doesn’t land with me either anymore.

For those of you that love Jon Stewart but haven’t seen the show, you’d be surprised by how bad he’s gotten.

He would actually be perfect for a show like “Meet the Press”. Though I don’t know if members of Congress would be keen on the potential of getting roasted by him on any given Sunday.

Avid bicyclist here, and no bicyclist over twelve years of age should be on the sidewalks. Of course, that also means that there has to be a safe option in the roadway. One guy in a pickup truck mowing down a bicyclist will naturally push a few hundred to ride on the sidewalks, and it is understandable.

As a recreational cyclist, there’s no doubt that just being on a bike doesn’t make an asshole less of one. I get pissed when I see cyclists completely flouting traffic laws, riding in big groups and blocking traffic when single-file would let cars pass, splitting traffic, etc. because I know all it’s doing is pissing…

The problem is that a much higher number of people simply don’t give a shit, and forcing them to be “educated” about it is not going to result in…

It is appealing to people who enjoy cycling and exercise in general, which sounds like it certainly is not you. That’s fine, no one is gonna make you get up and work out in the morning, but it doesn’t mean other people don’t enjoy that.
