Sad Crying Clown in an ILX

Unfortunately, it’s getting worse as time goes on. Our state is due for a crash eventually between the rampant inflation (look up Tampa) and jobs that can’t keep up with said inflation. And now our state is hoping to indoctrinate children with alternate history.

I used to live under the landing approach to Dulles. There was a family that moved in down the street and immediately started making noise complaints and tried to have the airport shut down. Imagine being such an entitled NIMBY that you think you can shut down a major international airport. I really wish I could’ve

If it’s a school bus stop, those usually get a pass. I live in a high property value area and they ban the normal bus but moved the school bus into the neighborhood so the kids won’t be out on the main roads.

Did you happen to see what is across the street? None other than Blake’s Xpress Car Wash. Maybe they are shilling for the competition next door.

Sidewalks are the bane of gated communities.  They hate them, for some reason.   If you put a path in front of your house, then the riff raff can just walk on it dammit!!!

But, they apparently don’t want kids either:

I mean, based on how that development is laid out, you would think it was obvious there are two big commercial parcels around the entrance, and I guarantee you there were disclosures about it in the purchase documents. But of course all those people bought their little townhomes thinking that open space would never be

In Japan, they have car washes that run the cars through at nearly 200 mph. American is falling behind in high-speed car wash technology. In another ten years, the car wash speed gap will be even more pronounced, and we will have to spend ten times as much to catch up.

That’s the thing, there’s no such thing as zoning in FL. You can have nice house, liquor store, shitty house, whole foods all on the same block. They recently stuck a Top Golf smack in the middle of a residential area near where I live in St. Pete. To state the obvious, it’s a horrible place to live.

I’m just going to take this opportunity to briefly complain that the price at my local car wash went from $5 to $12 over the matter of a few years.

So Tampa resident here. People are absolute fuckwits in our state.

Here’s a suggestion, don’t buy a house which backs up to commercial zoned space and then complain when something goes in.

Sidewalks are paid for by taxes, so I’ll just bet that’s a big deal-breaker for ol’ Barb there.

With all those slippery slopes, I would expect more broken hips...

So Tampa resident here. People are absolute fuckwits in our state. In my neck of the woods, a new apartment building went up and so a local grocer wanted to set up shop on the first floor. The grocer also wanted to sell liquor. Well, a handful of people raised hell with the city commission because they didn’t want it.

I love this quote from the resident “There are decibel ratings and ordinances that we have here that limit the amount of noise you can make and how far away that noise can be, and I think it’s somewhere between 60 to 80 decibels.”

“I’m worried about the kids going to the bus stop. They’re gonna be walking down this road with these big trucks you saw going by, and people flying in and out to go to the car wash,” Barb Vickers, a resident in the Jonathan’s Bay gated community, told WINK News.

What if somebody took their drag racer there to get washed before going to a car show ? Tommy’s would be aiding and abetting a drag show

Right-wing media: “Hey! Here’s this action/drama about a federal agent who’s trying to stop child traffickers!”

Of course AMC wouldn’t care about losing out on some money because they’re getting funded by George Soros selling cocaine to the White House (that’s right...WHITE...they put that clue right out in front of us, that’s how evil they are). Plus obviously AMC is in on it, because those with wisdom will realize that AMC
