Sad Crying Clown in an ILX

Wouldn’t the Santa Cruz be better than the Baja? At least when it comes to dressing up?

I hope I still have mine; I can’t keep track anymore with all the different services out there now.

I think several signers were offered to keep their job if they claimed they were pressured into signing it and did not agree with it.

I think she was claiming that several employees who signed it were pressured into. Presumably, the ones who (under threat of firing) confessed they had been pressured into signing it were not the ones fired, while those that did not repent were fired.

Yeah, but they still want a truck that’s more capable than their neighbor’s, else people might think they’re gay.

Wait for gas prices to come down again. Then everybody who sold their gas-guzzler for a compact or BEV will be wanting to get back into a big, proper vehicle again and looking to dump their rational car.

Not a shill for the oil companies, just a soulless capitalist more concerned with the value of a dollar than the value of life.

Tax laws can be passed through reconciliation, so just a simple majority. So it’s just Manchin and Sinema, and any other corporate Democrats hiding behind their obstruction, that would need to get on board. Unless Democrats can pick up a couple more seats in the Senate (lol), and we can send Manchin and Sinema to the

She sued her ex, not GEICO, and they agreed to arbitrate the claim. They likely included in the arbitration agreement a stipulation to liability so only damages were at issue, and the the ex probably didn’t put any contrary evidence. The point is to just get a neutral third party to sign off on the amount of damages

They likely agreed to a covenant not to execute as part of the arbitration agreement.

If you’re going to try to provide legal analysis, please at least read the opinion you’re reporting on. https://www.courts.mo.gov/file.jsp?id=187183

This is the stupidest thing I’ve read all month, but what do you expect of legal analysis from Jalopnik?

They probably won’t be. This case has nothing to do with insurance coverage, just whether GEICO could contest the amount of damages after it denied coverage and refused to defend. That’s the right result when an insurer leaves their insured to fend for themselves.

Not sure how it works in MO, but in a lot of states if an insurer denies coverage and refuses to defend, they’re on the hook for whatever judgment is ultimately entered, if the judgment is entered by consent with a covenant not to execute (so long as there’s no fraud or collusion between the insured and plaintiff).

I was just about to post this, after reading the opinion. I was curious as how the court found coverage for it. Turns out coverage hasn’t been decided yet, and there likely won’t be coverage.

From the headline I assumed he hit that speed peddling under his own power, which seemed much more impressive than coasting down a long hill (not that this isn’t impressive, just not that unique).

Oof.

How often do you kick yourself for not pulling the trigger on an S2000 sometime in the past 10+ years?

I feel like he kind of felt sorry for the old man with the My Pillow boxes. The guy was obviously very mentally ill, and his belief that he was friends with Lindell was pretty sad.
