I know a 3 series was a compact sedan at one time, but at 3700 pounds plus, a BMW 3 series is considered considered “compact”. Will the embiggening of cars ever end?

Taking car advice from Consumer Reports is like taking car advice from your grandma’s sewing circle.
My new favorite is the slideshow of slideshows!
Cool slideshow. You guys ever consider doing some research and putting something useful together for us yourselves?
Jeezus.
Thank you for the detailed comment, it is appreciated.
A comment as good as yours deserves to be out of the greys. Done.
I was an automotive engineer at the time this test was being developed. I worked for a major automotive company in R&D and specifically in doors.
“Only use offroad” and “new g-Wagen” that Venn diagram is just two separate circles when it comes to new g-Wagen owners and driving off-road, lol.
Yup. Bought my GTI because it has a manual. I will not buy one without.
Agreed. GTI owner here and I will not buy another GTI or R without knobs and buttons or one that has that huge fucking iPad on the dash.
The dash still has no buttons. Still a fail. Gimme knobs for climate and give me a proper volume knob please.
Yes, it’s complicated, not intuitive, and requires taking your eyes off the road to find the little slider.
And they’re taking away the stick. Idiots.
Unfortunately the teaser photos show that the refreshed GTI still seems to rely on those touch-sensitive temperature and fan speed adjustments
4-series: I don’t hate the grille, but BMW has certainly done better. Meanwhile, with the screwed-up Hofmeister kink in the new 5-series, who knows what the hell is going on over there.
How does this list not begin and end with all those truly awful BMW SUVs? (though feel free to keep the Cybertruck and Ram trucks in between).
XM Label? WTF?
More proof that money can’t buy good taste.
I just threw up in my mouth a little
“People who were going to buy a G-Wagon - but didn’t because they hate good design” seems like a small market
