That wasn’t a fight. One fan was kind of talking trash, turned around because he thought it’d be some jawing, and that guy just came in and sucker punched him. That’s assault. Not funny, and the reason I don’t go to fucking NFL games with 70K Tommy Toughnuts walking around.

I vote if the electronic pitch tracker disagrees with an ump who tosses someone for arguing balls and strikes then the ump gets fired/suspended.

It would be nice if the league could step in and, say, suspend/fine the “Me Me Me!” umpires in the league when they go off on their short fuse tangents, in the same way players are.... but that’s just silly talk, I guess. Everyone knows we’re there to see the umpires umpire, and the rest is just shit that’s in the way.

might as well call this place buzzfeed with garbage like this.

My name is Torch. I make absurd articles where I explain the whole thing is just a joke at the bottom. Why? Because people only read headlines.

I’m sure it’s not illegal since no one on the internet seems to think it is, but does this not fall afoul of the prohibition on lining up directly across from the long snapper? Because he’s not in a three point stance? Because he doesn’t make contact?

I want him to wear it anyway SO BAD so that we can watch the NFL punish/fine him for wearing pink for breast cancer awareness. I need this.

I’ve given up on telling people 28 Days Later is about “infected” not “zombies”...well except for this comment. OK NOW I’m done...

Really Deadspin? I used to love coming to this site because it was about sports. Now, we pile on failed politicians? At least if you are going to post such crappy journalism, do it down the middle so we can compare notes. The whole Email scandal with Hilary has to have some legs on it, right? Make it fun for all.

I’m not a Republican, but I think it’s absolutely sad that you can call these people (who you’ve never met or spoken to and don’t know anything about their personal lives) such harsh names because you disagree with some of their positions. It’s public shaming 101.

Exactly. The article is beating around the bush, but it’s saying “This is an argument used by racists,” and then straw-manning it. The truth is as you say, black culture doesn’t serve black people. And Mr Nutty accurately points out that this culture is a result of oppression... but this argument discards the agency

I would like to start out by saying that I know and love many nurses (my mom was one for 30+ years), I admire and respect the job they do, and Joy Behar is an idiot. Nurses are awesome!

I dunno, maybe because a sports hall of fame should be reserved for people who actually play the sport.

This article could not be a bigger, more petulant, wet blanket. I voted against him twice (yes, it was a vote against him), and obviously don’t view his presidency favorably. But he was awesome in the few months following 9/11, and this moment was a highlight (when I/we still needed one) that still gives me chills.

Can someone link me to Deadspin’s article each time President Obama does his NCAA bracket on SportsCenter?

I (a lousy but genuine Catholic) don’t think they’re mutually exclusive. I just think they’re different domains. In your private life you render unto God; in your public capacity as an elected official, you render unto Caesar. If your particular denomination or whatever explicitly says that’s unacceptable, fine, but I

I never listened to them. That’s how cool I am.

Seems like you lay most of the responsibility for the hagiography at Gray’s feet, but with Dre and Ice Cube producing (not to mention Cube’s son playing him) it wasn’t going to turn out any other way.

(And, to be sure, there’s an inherent racism in that dilemma: Few bat an eye at violent lyrics or misogyny in classic rock, chalking it up to poetic license and creative expression. It’s only when blacks are engaging in provocative lyrics that we clutch our pearls.)

this should be great comment section
