Because planes are inherently less efficient than trains, train travel is more comfortable, and the time penalty for trains VS planes is very small on sub-1000km routes. Ever done Amsterdam-Berlin? You hop in literally in the middle of the city, no security, you chill out for 6 hours 20 minutes and you get out again

and this has also made dealers unlikely allies for buyers”

“Volkswagen-esque taillights”? How about Honda-esque taillights, Honda? And the knockoff Ford grill? Really? How lazy.  How did nobody see or care about the obvious similarities to other brands' design elements?

Lawrence got his free vacation, what else do you need to know?

...but especially up front, you’d never mistake it for anything other than an Accord.

Did I actually miss the part where you are describing the way this car drive ?!? (beside one sentence). Not trying to be mean but this article is like reading a spec sheet, I did not really learn anything I already knew.

See here’s the thing. I love the Accord in all it’s generations. Some have been better than others mind you. But all have been good. But the one thing the Accord always had that’s been lost is the “enthusiasts” edition. There’s always been one trim that’s been just the right amount of “fun” to be embraced by the car

2023 Honda Accord

yeah the it needs $5 part that I have but haven’t taken the time to fix, okay the part is  an Audi chain tensioner but how hard can that be to install

The federal safety regulations are the bare minimum. That’s not the point anyway. If you want the safest car, buy a Tesla or a maybe a Volvo. If you want a sporty car that eats the track, buy a Porsche. If you want to lay down rubber in the street in front of your bro’s house, buy a Hellcat.

bro this is different. they build the extra power into the vehicle from the factory and put the extra power behind a paywall. It’s like buying a dewalt 20vMAX drill from the store but it only operates at 12v unless you pay extra money to “unlock” 20V mode.

You don’t want to fuck up your 84 month/779$ loan though

Yea until they have access to your connected car and see that it has been “illegally modified” and lock it down for breaking the EULA you signed when you bought it.

That is stupid and should be illegal IMO.

It’s a fairly simple solution: any death caused by DUI should be charged as murder and have the appropriate sentence.
