I had to reread that multiple times. The quality on jalop has dropped signifigantly in the last few years.

It looks almost identical to the current gen except for some reason they made the rear absolutely hideous. And I thought they would stop when they ruined the Discovery. It’s a shame. JLR seems to have entirely given up any pretense of this being an off roader or rugged and boxy in any sense. 

While interesting cars may be quite short of hand right now (entirely thanks to crossovers) there are still SOME interesting cars, I just got a Civic Si Coupe that is a blast to drive, but still comes with a warranty and five seats and a stick shift. Teslas are many things but there is no such thing as a stylish Tesla. Their “SUVs” (quotation marks because there isnt a single utilitarian aspect of them) are hideous and just heavier versions of their sedans. There are a few, the Volvo C30 comes to mind. A two door coupe-shootingbrake design with a turbocharged inline 5 that could make up to 250 horsepower. It also came with four seats, and was available with a manual transmission (!!!!).

The steering wheel in my 2014 VW CC, while not very handsome, is so nice to hold and use. The only wheel I prefer was the one in my 2004 Volvo XC90, which was leather with polished wood. It felt so expensive and nice, 

Newer Audi’s and VW’s have slender steering wheels, I have a VW CC with a great steering wheel (although you should really, really stay away from used CCs, as they are electrical and mechanical garbage). Audis steering wheels are delightfully thin and handsome, Heres one from an A5 Sportback
