No lie, I traded in my 2005 Prius with 170k miles on it because it was going to need around $3k of work, including replacing the rear brakes for the first time. Front brakes went at 150k miles. If I didn’t want a new toy, I would still be driving that thing. Cost of ownership for 11 years was practically zero.
