Youre taking their word that these layoffs are necessary. Rivian has lots of fucking money. But the VCs and primary shareholders want more money. Thats all this is. 

The problem with boats is that the average load is higher than a car, you aren’t coasting in a boat. You also can’t recover energy in a meaningful way. It makes electric boats a hard sell, you’re talking very long charge times for a very short run time.
