Re: Lincoln Continental

“If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light

A friend bought a car on BAT. I said, “Great, you just paid more for that car than anyone else in the world was willing to pay. Good job.”.

On Bring-A-Trailer they routinely sell for about 10-16k.”

Oh, he stopped and thought.  It’s calculated.  Dude’s trying to be the figurehead of a loose agglomeration of friendless 4Chan dorks, so he has to keep making a spectacle of himself with puerile “hot takes” like this.

When you can charge to 80% in 18 minutes, who cares? I can’t even remember the last time I drove over 230 miles in a single go without having at least some stop in there, so plan your stop at a charge point. Like 1% of people need more than 230 miles in a single go and that is probably really generous.

No, because given the Workhorse/Nikola/Canoo/(SPAC EV/Fuel Cell company founded this week with free VC money) with levels of hype around this and any of their products, you should absolutely not trust them.

Cars were getting larger and heavier as deaths decreased prior to the pandemic, so no, it doesn’t.

1. Is this traffic deaths per mile driven or just overall?

It also just seems like everyone has lost their damn minds while driving as well

Pittsburgh is a very nice place to live, but for that price you’d be living way out in Clairton, and that isn’t such a nice place to live.

I miss my old Toyota Corolla wagon.

Honda Z600. I mean, just look at it.

There’s a butt for every seat, and this seat has found its butt. And in the words of the immortal Highlander, there can be only one.

Suzuki Jimny, as least sold here in the states.

“Given the prices on BaT”. Ok, then sell it on BaT and leave us out of it.

Yeah, and if Mazda USA passed on it, I’m not even sure what other museum would want it (rather than a clean OG Civic, for example)?

The only rational buyer would be a museum. You can’t drive it; day one it will get pitted and dented in the first parking lot. All these pristine, well preserved relics are garage/show queens.

I feel like this is the kind of thing where you just need to find the one person who wants this car but I’m concerned that person is also the one selling it.

I’d rock a base-level Subaru.  AWD, a decent engine, and it is even the 5 door that you can get for under $20k.  And unlike the wife’s Chevy Sonic, you can actually put a roof rack on it.  The rest, though...  Yeah, not so much.
