You hit the big problem square in the bullseye. Why would anyone in the general public buy an electric pickup from whatever the hell Lordstown is, when they could get one from Ford or Chevrolet, whom they already know?

Rivian has actually done everything right thus far for starting a new EV company.  Rivain’s major partner is Amazon, along with massive cash raises with OEM suppliers. I’m pretty sure Rivian will have zero cash problems.

The problems that these companies have isn’t just about timing.  Most of them, like Fisker, Lordstown, and Nikola, were either fraudulent, completely incompetent, or both.
