I don’t think an O2 sensor is ever an easy fix. On these cars the upstream sensors are a bear to get to and get out. It’s not impossible for a driveway wrencher to do, but it’s no fun at all.

Changing the O2 sensors requires dropping the back of the motor to get in there. And If it’s the pre-catalytic converter one then the cats are shot.

Yeah it seems like having enough nuclear power to do that would kill the crew with radiation (even with shielding) not to mention the amount of heat to melt rock would probably cook them alive.
