“The Gift” is pretty bad. It’s derivative (akira chase scene?), cliche and reminds me a lot of Michael Bay’s nonsense action. The appearance of complexity is an easy trick, not a skill.

I live in Chicago and the number of jerry-can bedecked Jeeps with huge winches and a few terawatts of LED lighting is silly. Maybe it’s a Jeep thing, and I don’t understand.
The last moron who booted my car forgot to latch the lock completely. I left the boot sitting on the curb for him.
That’s the hard/dirty way. Last time I took one off I had to assess the situation and see what tools were needed. Once the lock is picked, it’s usually just a matter of figuring out what the tool looks like to tighten/loosen the clamp.
I’ve removed a boot without doing any damage to it. Fucking towing company came by the next day and stole my truck right out of my driveway. Unless you want to get yourself into a jail sentence, better treat them like the law. Avoid contact, do not show signs of aggression. Most of them have the police to back them…
Someone put too many “upgrades” on this thing. It’s too late to reverse those decisions. ND.
It’s not a racing yacht, so it doesn’t need new sails and rigging every year. I know some of the 70' racing yachts in the Great Lakes have a budget of $250k per year for sails and running rigging. That said, billionaires always find ways to turn their money into CO2, so I’m guessing the genset on this ship is putting…
Are parents afraid their kids will come home gender-swapped?? I feel bad for the kids AND the teachers. What kind of world are we building here.
I’m sure it’s rare because I’ve never seen one, but that kind of money it’d better be at least a pace car or a homologation special. I could see this thing clipping apexes in a DTM race. What is the rope tied loosely to the wheel and someting on the floor? Autopilot? Cruise Control? Anti-theft? Parking brake?
Yeah, I wonder what the day-to-day life is working for Fisker. The company lists ~800 employees, but that’s probably all white-collar workers. Magna-Steyr is contracted for the manufacturing. I wonder whether the executives feel like there’s a future in it, or are they just collecting the inevitable C-level payouts…
That is the point here - Cops usually idle their ICE cruisers rather than shut them off, since they’re running radio, AC/heat on the cruiser’s 12v system all the time. With the hybrid’s larger battery, the cruiser can always be “on” electronically without running the gas engine all day.

Does anyone here living in India drive a Tesla? Would you trust a Tesla to navigate traffic without signals? Roundabouts? Complex rural intersections?
The major manufacturers probably have the investment bankers doing that for them. At least as I understand it, that’s what they do at investment banks. Make powerpoint presentations on what to acquire, and sell the companies on letting the bank do the deal for them. It costs the manufacturer’s executives just enough…
True, plus they’re usually flogging all of the vehicles. I like to see the old rigs flying down the highway blowing flames out the stacks. But you can’t get reasonable people/non motor heads to watch them.
There’s a Dodge Ram “Bandit” edition down the street. Rusting into oblivion.
Cops never turn off their cars. Not while they’re in them doing scarecrow policing, or out of them getting a refill on coffee or other coffee-related baked goods.
“striking a median and flipping.”
Good ol trucker movies. Boy were they all terrible.
