I am excited for Dad 2

I made this very point on Reddit and got downvoted a lot. 

Physical games are often cheaper.
You can lend them to friends.
You can sell them if you want.
They don’t take up much room if you don’t have an unhealthy obsession with collecting.

Imagine a world where executives are actually vested in their own company’s ethos, and willingly redistribute a substantial portion of their bonus wealth to the employees who work together to achieve the collective vision of that company. 

Compared to a $2700 high tier gaming PC I think less than 1/4 of that for a very well performing console with a much more streamlined user experience is a gd bargain

uh huh. That’s what they all say. I’m sure it has nothing to do with development issues of the new game engine and being crunched for time at all.

If it’s loud, it could mean the thermal paste needs replacing or has not been applied properly from factory. I reckon anyone who’s built a few PC’s or repaired a cellphone or two in their time can handle the process as long as they understand the sensitive nature of the electronics they’re working with, but I agree…

Overnight it has already grown on me a lot. I wasn’t sure what to think but by the time it popped up on the screen after an hour of game previews I was already in sensory overload.

I wonder if anyone at Microsoft is sadistic enough to be jealous of the unfortunate timing which may be boosting any perceived good-guy image on Sony’s behalf

That is evidently optional, as the teaser pic clearly shows a black controller. 

maybe this is superficial of me but I’m more interested in what the thing will look like and its UI updates, as well as price. I already have faith that the software will be good.  

Well, I’ve got a restored Lotus Elan rolling chassis, and having the twincam built up the way I want would probably cost as much... I don’t think I could irreversibly fit it on the rear axle, though.

Ostensibly this time they’ll be compatible with the PS5.  But that doesn’t mean at least one developer won’t pull a dick move and release an enhanced edition of whatever game instead of a free patch.
