I’ll take the worst minor league park in california. (Probably Lancaster) over any outdoor park in Florida. Period.

I caught a playoff game there last year and I was like “man this park is just great...” then I walked to my car, “... Stockton man."

Also, Banner Island Ballpark one of the prettiest in the country despite being in Stockton. It’s just fantastic.

Because this doesn’t happen on literally every single fucking play?

Moneyball reference!

Yeah that FF VII sure was a disaster.

This isn’t very true either though. Curry spends a lot of time guarding Russ, hes a capable one on one defender but that wouldn’t be the smarter move, so his job is to steer Russ into help or get him to pass.

No. They didn’t. They had toilets in the clubhouse back up after a huge storm in the bay area. It also happened at AT&T park. The coliseum is old, but this has a lot more to do with the state of sewage and storm pipes in the bay area as a whole.

He’s three year younger but he’s only signed for one year longer than Semien. He becomes a FA when hes 28, right in the middle of his prime.

Also they were trying to buy or sell one of those foul balls.

Jeff Samardzija was traded for Marcus Semien, Josh Phegley, Chris Bassit, and Rangel Ravelo. I would have traded Addi for those 4 players straight up, without the rental of Samardzija, because of Addis constant lower body issues all throughout the minors, which also shut him down twice last year.

He traded Donaldson because he only had two starting pitchers the next year. So he made the down grade to Lawrie who EVERYONE thought would have a great season if he could just stay healthy, (he’s great this hear in Chi, but Valencia is better) received 2 major league starting pitchers, and a blue chip prospect in

Marcus Semien may strike out a lot but what’s weird is he really only strikes out against RHP. His walk rate against both is about 11%.

There are very few casual A’s fans. People who go to Oakland go to watch baseball, not drink margaritas or visit a kale farm or whatever, and those attendance numbers aren’t fudged by huge blocks of seats being bought by corporate sponsors that are usually empty during games (see: Yankees, red Sox, giants)

He seems to me a type of guy that doesn’t let bad numbers get him down too much. Baseball players have a thing about younger players being too happy on bad teams. Especially when they are young, good looking, and sucks to say but him being Jewish probably didn’t help.

I’ve never had one bad experience with Danny V, and last season when the A’s had a lot of talk about a bad clubhouse, it was Brett Lawrie who got shipped out, not Valencia.

Last year the A’s had Valencia, Fuld, and Ike Davis. It was pretty great.

Danny V WAS a platoon player until he figured something out last year and started hitting the shit out of RHP too. (Last year 140 WRC+ against RHP) That last homerun was off a RHP.

Yeah maybe has something to do with steph playing less that 60 minutes in the previous 2 series of basketball. He’s not just gonna come back and be completely normal.

Well. Theyve been as good as Golden State as long as Golden State is missing the best basketball player in the planet and is giving minutes to Ian Clark and Anderson Varejao on the same line.
