WHY exactly shouldn’t he go there?

Baffling? Really? It’s either they choose U.S. and get a chance to play (and likely start) on the international stage, or not play at all. Do you actually think these German kids that choose U.S. have any chance of playing on the German squad? Lol.

Authentication and hearsay are two completely different evidentiary issues.

So the kids out of court statement which he wrote down and was given to the police is not hearsay because it was written down? Got it.

Can’t wait till this backfires and Parker is traded to Cleveland in a few years.

Oh boy. I really hope you're not a practicing attorney.

I’m not. But just curious, do I have to be to give my input on a legal topic being discussed in this thread? If so, Deadspin should require attorney’s to enter their P#’s before commenting on any articles dealing with anything legal!

Also, when it comes to child testimony - courts are often hesitant to allow for its admission because of the likelihood that it can be contaminated by adults. The court will consider various factors before finding a child’s testimony to be reliable enough to be admitted to evidence.

He's better than Reggie Miller. That's for damn sure.

Red Wings haters are my favorite.

He’s not going to get in trouble for this. All this is doing is making Cigars & Stripes the most popular bar in Chicago, and this man who I presume you think is a pig is just going to get richer. If that was your goal, good job!

Maybe it's cause the Indians are terrible.

Wait, your friend told you not to get up and cheer for a homerun? We get up and cheer for strikeouts and singles here in Detroit. Not sure what the fuck he's talking about.

Well that's completely different than what happened in Winstons case.

I’m assuming he took no upper level courses in the 4 years he spent at UCLA?

He hit his stick.
