It’s unfortunate but so many people get so intimidated by the idea of ‘expertise’ that they fall back on the opinions of the very people they’re supposed to be vetting to guide their decision making. Scary and sad because there are so many scam artists taking advantage of this mentality.

If you want to make the case even more compelling, research the consequences of not filing and paying payroll taxes. The CA Board of Equalization is most likely in the process of shutting them down. You can negotiate with the IRS, you cannot negotiate out of payroll taxes, they are completely inviolable.

This is the same exact game plan they used here in Sacramento, AFTER the city had voted TWICE against an arena. Scary times as this seems to be a new template.
