Newest != best. I say the proven best of the previous generation is, thus far, still a better bet for a cash-strapped government than the flaky, hugely expensive and still-not-ready example of the next generation.

A-haaaaaa, I missed the shifter bit! In fact, I can't recall ever noticing in the original show.

Perhaps I do, perhaps I don't know what I'm talking about. What is clear is that 1) the F-35 has yet to back its paper claims, and 2) you have yet to convince me that it will.

"Yump" = yell + jump?

Nice. Schneider still looks youthful as ever.

Canada can't afford any foreign conflicts; like him or not, Harper has already gone on record to clarify that our forces cannot join NATO in Ukraine, due in no small part to budget cutbacks. Furthermore, I fail to see how the F-35 automatically would make Canadian forces more viable abroad than the F-18E/F.

You seem to love pushing the F-35 merely because it's newer. Conveniently, it's the only new US fighter available. But inconveniently for you (and also for the many services which would be paid to service this fighter), the Lightning just isn't ready for prime time.

Buying a new fighter plane while it's still buggy and less-than-stellar, just because it's new, also does not make a lot of sense. I'm inclined to agree with CWestwell.

Would it be more progressive to erase any suggestion of sexism from this site, or perhaps more so to simply be less judgemental? Sensuality need not be about unilateral exploitation; it might even be argued that snap criticism and condemnation are steps in the wrong direction.

I really, really tried to observe Clarkson being a perv, but in the end (har!) I was too busy being one myself.

Ugh. I love "tech" but I couldn't stomach that excess.

A Venom is an Elise in name only. So what if registration says? Any serious Jalopnik knows the real truth... Waayyyy too much innard (and outard IMHO) swapped out.

Okay, I concede you're not a mouth-breather. ;-) No hard feelings?

If noone else does it on purpose, and he can get away with doing so in a Raptor and not crashing, why not? I mean, the very presence of the truck at the Ring was outrageous and audacious enough as-is.

Thoughts of Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen...

Ahhhh... that should be interesting. I had no idea.

There is a point beyond which self-deprecation is less funny... My apologies for misunderstanding your intent.

I'm sure any resemblance to Mazda stablemates or even Alfa Romeos is purely coincidental... and gleefully enjoyed.

It's a traaaaaaap!

Because one mouth-breather can't appreciate subtleties, he has to insult those who can.
