Yup. Still - I don't begrudge the money I spent. I loves me some damn Pogues.

It's definitely worth $20. I paid a ridiculous import price for it back in the day.

I saw them play on St. Pat's Day in NYC maybe 5 years ago or so. Was an excellent good time. I'd go see this in a heartbeat if I was still living in Brooklyn.

There's a pretty decent U.K. only boxed set from maybe 10 years back or so that has a few live tracks on it with Strummer singing.

A few years back, at NYCC, Fisher was there doing autographs. For some bizarre reason she had virtually no one in line to see her, so when I sheepishly put up my blu-ray set for her to sign, she came out from behind the table and gave me a very pretty glittery eyeshadow job. She was a wonderful wonderful lady.

She's definitely not infallible, but at this point, I think I'll trust her judgment over Sir Ridley's. Covenant looks … fine, I guess, but the fact that he feels like there needs to be 3 or 4 more movies leading up to the original Alien makes me wonder what the hell is going on with him.

Uh - I'm actually kind of bummed out about this. I like Alien 3 well enough, but it always DID feel like a bit of a cheap shot to kill off Hicks and Newt off screen. Also - it kind of makes Ripley look like a chump to not have checked the ship for eggs; the queen was only ever on a tiny portion of the ship, and it

Stay safe sir Viking - stay safe.

Good point - I somehow tend to forget that Palladino worked on this show.

I'm good with this. Bring back Whedon to help write a script or two, and I'm double plus in.

Did anyone here listen to the record she made with Paul Westerberg a year or so ago? Put it out under the name "The I Don't Cares"? It was pretty good! I halfway wonder if the songs that Westerberg used for it were kinda/sorta/maybe intended to be reunion era 'Mats songs…

Yeah, exactly. Feels like a bit of over-correction.

Yeah, that is weird. Cannon is a solid dude. I lugged in my giant Absolute Top 10 in to Denver Con last summer for his signature and chatted him up for a bit. Bought the first volume of Kaijumax, too, which wasn't on my radar previously, and was a nice surprise.

I've been gone from MN for about a decade now (used to live in Duluth and made my way down to the Twin Cities fairly often - mostly to First Ave for concerts), and I can say that when I was up there, the con situation was pretty non-existent. That said - that's obviously a while ago, so - just getting a WW con is

The situation with him and Kirby is nowhere near as cut and dried as people want to make it out to be. This is not to downplay Jack's contributions in any way shape or form - his role cannot be denied or minimized in any way shape or form. But to deny that Stan was also hugely responsible for the creation of

Serious talk - I have a ton of affection for ol' Stan the Man, and I'm just happy any time he does one of these cameos because it means he was ABLE to do one of these cameos. He's really stepping back in his Con appearances due to his health, and he IS an old-ass-man, so - I'm glad to see him pop up while we still

Nerts!

Bejar, or no Bejar?

You're cussin' right they are!

Don't feel bad; I bought it twice. First in the normal version, and then re-bought when Criterion put out their copy, because … Criterion.
