This will all be well and fine until it gets to be time for the title song. No one can take the place of Angela Lansbury singing that song.
No, yeah, I agree. Would have liked to see how this particular version of the HB story played out. Especially given that the comics are (for now?) finished.
I kind of knew this was going to end up getting this response (or some basic variation thereof). But it's also a thing that Hellboy says, see?
Aww crap!
It's my favorite part of that movie, and I like that movie as a whole a LOT.
And if I see VanHelsing, I swear to the Lord I will slay him
Ah ha-ha-haaa - take it from me!
I swear I will let it be so - ah ha-ha-haaa!
Blood will run down his face when he is decapitated. Aaaah!
This is by far the best explanation I've seen. Thanks - sincerely.
Shit - Munn. Munn! Where the hell did I get "Cross" from?
I guess that makes sense, but that just begs the question - why not have an app that's a livestream of what's on their network tv stations at that exact moment? Which brings me back to the local ads issue that I brought up somewhere on this thread. Which seems like a problem, but not an insurmountable one.
I think that's right on the other networks. Honestly I don't really care about the Oscars that much either; I just think it's weird. Once I'm in a house, an antenna will be going up, at any rate.
And it's not even like - when I was younger, I'd have my go in a pit, and willingly risk the elbow to the nose or cheek or whatever, and there was some fun to be had there. But just the "crush everyone into an Akira-mass of common flesh" thing baffles me.
Right. He'd be equally incompetent, but at least he'd be awful in a way stemming from simple ignorance rather than malice.
He was extremely fortunate that several of his games involved the cost of various cold medicines.
Why is his voice not pitched up like Alvin, Simon, and/or Theodore?
Yeah, I started off mid-way back, with the rest of the old timers. Figured it'd be bad closer to the stage, and I've been in a couple of situations like that, and not enjoyed it. Like - I get it, you're excited, that's cool, but REALLY? It's not even like it's a pit or anything, it's just a straight up crush. …
Hanna was great. One of my favorite scores of the last several years. And Bana was quite good in that, as well. I hadn't realized that Wright directed "Pan", and I'm going to endeavor to let that fact slip from my memory ASAP so as to give him another chance.
I'd like to know what Aaron Paul has to say about all of this.
Yeah, they definitely have some skin in the cable game. But - all of their cable networks generally have their own standalone apps, too - FXNow and whatnot. Just seems like they'd want broadcast networks to be as easy to see as possible, and cable networks to require proof of a cable subscription.
That makes sense, but any broadcast network is already operating under a "content is free, but here are your ads" business model. They make their money primarily off of being able to say to Ford "X number of people routinely watch the Oscars, and will therefore be watching your ads. As such, we're going to charge…
