Oh, that's a cool idea. But I also think it implied she got the idea of Homer injuring his head from French's injury.

I agree with what you said, and it's well-written, and it makes me sad.
Especially the part about trying to understand Trump from the other side, but then he'll say/tweet something.
I thought Trump meant it sarcastically, like if you get a flat tire on the way to work, and you're already running late: "Oh man, this is juuuuust great!"
I love The xx too, but what was with their weird dancing? I couldn't tell if they were pretending to be awkward or are actually awkward.
I have that album too, on CD. My favorite track is "Ode to the Banana King, Part 1."
I upvoted your comment even as it makes me want to puke.
I think part of the problem is that Trump supporters don't care about facts or reality.
Did they not turn out in 2008 and 2012? I'm asking for real. How did Obama ever win if there are so many racists? And, if Obama could've done a 3rd term, would he have had a chance against Trump?
Your comment is the one for which I've been searching! For the most part. My reaction to the episode, which I haven't seen anyone else comment, was that the almost 400,000 people deserved it. I mean, no, they did not deserve to die, but I don't think the Bee/programmer guy was necessarily the villain. I think it's…
I also was really struck by the kindness of the caregivers in this episode, especially to the elderly. I thought, "Wow! A society that takes care of elderly/sick/disabled people!"
Agreed!
I, too, am sorry for your loss, and the episode hit me the same way. My best friend died 3 years ago, and I wouldn't mind seeing her again in any environment.
I think even the best possible afterlife anyone can imagine is still unsettling, if it's forever. Forever is such a long time!
I thought the beginning of The Happening was really disturbing. Unfortunately, it was the best part of the movie, with the rest not living up to it. Just lots of running from the wind!
Hey, thanks. I'm terribly sorry right now, too.
Holy shit, this episode has me crying so hard.
My best friend died 3 years ago, and I wish I could see her again.
Or even just talk to her about this show. And about anything.
No!! Just read that trilogy this year and was psyched for this adaptation. Think of Snowman the Jimmy!
Agreed. I cried just reading the review.
I believe you, that we're all susceptible to this kind of thinking—even intelligent, realist me!
But, do other people know that? Should/can they be made to understand that? Can we teach people to be skeptical of their beliefs for the good of mankind? (Sorry, I also think I have some loaded words in there that are…
Thanks for sharing the link! Just read the whole story.
It's interesting about the conspiracy theorists b/c sometimes they use conspiracy to show life isn't fair (i.e., rather believe in a hoax than that someone would be able to murder all those children), and sometimes it sounds like laziness, like when Pozner…
