Was about to post the same thing. In fact, I think the full gates are on the newer lines that can accommodate them. I don’t remember any of the full height gates on the Piccadilly, Circle or District Lines, but I do remember them at some stations on the Jubilee Line.

I don’t think that it helped that the pitch kind of made fools out of people. It’s one thing to make a joke, but this deceived people and made them feel like the butt of the joke.

I used to work there and Valentine’s Day was second only to Mother’s Day as far as busy-ness went.

Yep it’s wood burning and big and needs to actually be taken care of, no good for camping when you need to make sure the fire is out before everyone is asleep.  You can’t just dump water on the fire to make sure it’s out.
