I got a phone in a package that included a 1tb SD card for no additional cost back in 2020. Sadly that one’s battery took itself out and my provider only gave me the option of getting the newest model at the time. My current phone dropped SD card support (and audio jacks) so 256gb was all I could get.

I’ve always wondered about this myself. I have the digital model ps5 with the default storage drive and sure, 5 or 6 big games are enough to fill the drive to capacity but... How are people genuinely engaging with 5 or 6 games at the same time? Even if you’re big into live service or mmo games surely you can’t be

he probably would ngl.

Good point! I was thinking mainly about the initial purchase but unless the company is sending out USB sticks for major patches too, then there’s not much you can do about about all the post-release downloading as well.

Let’s not lose perspective, we’re talking about luxury entertainment here. Piracy isn’t your only option, your main option is to just not play the game if you don’t like its price or monetisation. I’m saying this both as a former game developer and as someone who pirated a lot in my past: you’re not entitled to take

Oxo pop-top canisters can be had in a lot of different dimensions, and yes, they still make one that’s perfect for 5 lbs of flour (with some head space - great for leaving a scoop in the bin).

I think with stuff like this it’s less likely that QA missed it, and more that it was flagged but not a high priority to fix compared to bugs that would impact certification/release.

Oh yeah, there probably is a reason—probably many, since they have really dialed back their offerings up here and I think contracted in their production quite a bit even in the US. I get it from a business standpoint, I’m just salty.

Maybe?  Whatever reason, it’s really good shorthand for ‘this person has no clue what they are talking about’.

A very long time ago, I worked at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco as an audio-visual tech. Watching the kitchen team prep for dinner for 500 in the Grand Ballroom was something to see. It was all about timing. Everything had to be prepped right before service, to prevent soggy salad, cold entrees. Chef Matsuhisa

Wrapping figs or prunes in bacon (or other cured meat) goes back to the late 1800s!

This is why I don’t eat out. I eat hardly anything anymore (on Ozempic) and I can’t finish a restaurant plate nor do I want to pay the insane prices. So they just lose me as a permanent customer.

I have a cookbook with a bunch of recipes from the middle ages, and a ton of them have both fruit and meat. Pies with beef and prunes, pork with apple or dried currants, duck or goose with fruit sauces. There’s also one for a cheese and onion pie with dried currants. The aversion to mixing fruit and savory is much

I cannot wait to get this installed, play around with the character creator for hours and then never actually play the game.

My beloved wife, my favorite person in the world, whose judgment I rarely question, loves these, and it makes me doubt everything I know about her.

Not to scale though...

They called it Assassin’s Creed III, despite there having already been like five games before it if you count mobile titles and spin-offs.“
