Do we know if they’ve had any real successes? Just because they generate billable hours doesn’t mean anyone is actually paying.

That was a point too, but they dug their heels in more for WDW’s version so the failed hotel could line up with timelines. DL’s version is a little looser but they still won’t have Vader running about in that land, especially as you can buy memorial items for Vader there.
Depending on how large it is, there is a decent chance someone may have even brought it up and it was ignored.
That’s the sequel.
I know they merged products and parks but it’s super weird that they are hyping the game in their parks post. It, as of now, has no concrete plans for a presence in the parks and if it did, that usually comes years after the IP comes out. If I recall, Fallen Order merch didn’t come in until a year or two after the…
Okay, I could see adding a few to Vegas in the tourist area, similar to White Castle, but do they anticipate enough demand to cover 12 locations?
I just realized, this is how Taco Bell really won the fast food wars in Demolition Man. Beef burgers/related cow heavy foods will be the first places to fall off because of rising beef prices, then the chicken places will also eventually fall due to high prices, but taco bell with their meat of indeterminate origin…
Wait, I thought the reasons things slump for hospitality is that travel drops off a cliff since celebrations are over, people are watching their money after spending so much earlier, and people trying to stick to diets.
Technically, most fast food is run that way. The sandwiches are usually break even or slight loss, sides are more profitable, but the main drivers are the fountain drinks.
That might have been taking my intent backwards. If a place has to raise their prices to cover the costs (not counting profit) then the customer is free to discontinue going there. That is totally fine. Now, going in and expecting to get an expensive meal at 1940's prices isn’t a realistic one but some people seem to…
It’s likely gone down somewhat since places are locking up things like baby formula. You know you’re in a shithole country when food for infants is held under lock and key.
While the article didn’t cover it, there are additional free things like Tipsy-Tow (at least in SoCal) where they tow your car home for free. Just to keep you from driving. Some places also offer services where they will drop a driver off and they will drive you home.
The hope is that it removes that pause the person might take to see if they have the cash, figure out the payment, etc. and they get on that public transit rather than driving. Even if it just hauls them around for a few hours till they sober up.
This isn’t new, at least in SoCal, all the metro systems have done this for at least 30 years. The only problem is that it still is not the most convenient so people still try and drive.
But what if I enjoy mullets and assplay but not with my first cousin?
It was a mid celebration at best. It was already off to a bad start when the signage had history and quotes wrong, then having it butt up against the WDW 50th, even using similar colors.
I always think of it like they incorrectly found out what diplomatic immunity was and think they can just say something similar and be exempt from all laws all the time. Even real diplomatic immunity doesn’t always create that situation.
I think the only places where it seemed to work (or at least not insta-fail) have been in blue location with similarly blue clientele. When it is in tourist areas or places with more conservative clientele it has had more pushback.
As long as both parties act reasonably, then that is fine. Such as a place which doesn’t allow it stating it on the menu/having a separate plate fee, and the customer finding out politely leaving if they do not wish this.
