This hurts my heart. RIP, Batman.

"He's right!"

Gawd, he's an idiot. I can't get used to it.

…Not even Wensleydale?

I want to get with you
And your sister
I think her name's Debra

I agree with everything but your last line. Her delivery of, "Your butt!" kills every damned time.

I disagree that Gilead was based on practicality but I tend to believe it's impossible to be theocrat and be practical. Don't let their sales pitch about clean energy fool you, Gilead is backwards as all get out. I think this last episode was intended to emphasize the sexual slavery of Gilead was not instituted

I have no doubt that that's what happened.

It's not that strange. There's no biblical precedent for artificial insemination. Remember, Gilead is theocracy first and foremost.

Because people are stupid.

W wasn't Trump stupid.

Gilead isn't big on science (especially with regard to biology) which is why it's stated that officially only women can be infertile. The show sort of glosses over this with only a casual mention when June visits the doctor but the biblical science aspect is played up more heavily in the book.

That's exactly what she said.

I wonder if the econowives will ever make an appearance? Perhaps not since it was spelled out that all fertile women were to divvied out between the elite rather than assigned to lower ranking men.

At least TV Moira had rabbit ears as an homage.

I think he's a religious zealot who gets off on being magnanimous to his indentured mistress.

"…and really wanting to take June 'out on the town,'…"

There are several comments made Waterford and his associates in this and earilier episodes that indicate they think women are lesser than. It's not that much different than what happens in real life. Some men are aware that women can intelligent, but they don't believe a woman can be as competent or as intelligent

"I was expecting it to be a tackier, shoestring affair, as a post-apocalyptic brothel."

Women aren't intelligent in their view so it really does make sense.
