I thought I remembered being able to play movies, as long as they weren't loud and didn't have sex, violence or profanity. I think I remember towards the end of me working their part-time as a second job that we had to have the loop advertising video on all the time though. I would always turn the volume way down if

I guess I understand the idea of a Blockbuster is odd/retro but, I don't see video stores being all that odd. Here in Wisconsin, we have a decent number of Family Videos in most of the larger cities, as mentioned in the article and video, and they do a pretty brisk business. Most also have an adjoining Pizza or

Yeah, I feel like they didn't make the future "dangerous" and messed up enough compared with the book. The roving bands of people didn't seem all that dangerous and I really wish we would've gotten the weird robotic/atomic(?) cars driving around as well as more of a history lesson on what actually happened. Also,

Wait, he's not the protege of an industrialist attempting to perfect miniaturization for military applications and the alter-ego of a super-villain!?

I wanted to say something about her cute freckles and maybe relate it humorously to Sawyer and Kate on LOST but then I read the article so now I'm just gonna have to sit on the floor over here and cry for a while.

Yep, I get that. My comment was a follow up from a previous comment in a discussion a few weeks back where I asked if Jake and Sadie were doing the Lindy Hop at the dance. Someone said it was the Madison but it obviously turned out to be The Lindy Hop, just like it was in the book - So. Many. Annoying. Times.

The yearbook said "Do the Lindy Hop!"next to a photo of Jake and Sadie.

Seeing as episodes have averaged about 50 minutes (other than the first episode which seemed more like 90 minites), I'm worried that the final episode will not be the last episode of this show and there will be a cliffhanger and not the resolution. Any chatter if this will have another season? Maybe the show will be

Damn it! They WERE doing the Lindy Hop!

They served margaritas at the location near my old office in Milwaukee but up here in Green Bay they only have beer from what I've seen. It's a shame. On more than one occasion I ordered a Sauza margarita and took it in a to-go cup and got slightly buzzed back at the office while eating my burrito. That was usually

I actually thought that was Shannon Elizabeth. I was shocked that it was Detective Rosa Diaz (always attracted to the creep - the Shamwow guy and the evil Gremlin for example)

The Lindy Hop thing is a reference to King's book and some light criticism of it, namely that there was a bit of an obsession with the Lindy Hop. Glad to know that it wasn't said dance in the episode and it doesn't make any appearance in Jodie or the Derry stand-in, Holden, Kentucky.

"You know, because of the implications…"

"M-O-O-N. That spells 'peanut butter and jelly'!"

I kind of wish they had just ended it when they saw the "Leviathan" lumbering by and decided to drive on. At least that would've been close to the King ending, which was fine for me. That Darabont ending was friggin terrible.

The problem you're going to run into is that a lot of adaptations were done years ago and have that "cheese factor", especially if they were made for TV.

Dat ending tho. Oh Jesus, how ridic'.

You want ridiculousness? Wait until the later episodes this season and see who he chooses for his running mate. Oh vey! 3 episodes left. It was a loooooong day.

I lived in Phoenix during the mid 90s and it was great although the sheer number of restaurants seems to have exploded since then. One of my favs back then was Whataburger, although not for their burgers but for their B.O.B.s (Breakfast on a Bun). It's a simple idea, delicious and something I'm surprised other

It was pretty smart to open Culverses out in AZ but I don't know why anybody would go to Culvers when they could go to an In N Out instead (although I understand that sometimes you want something different than a burger and you can get that at Culvers and not In N Out).
