I would personally disagree. From what I’ve seen, Messianic Judaism is just a rebranding of Jews for Jesus, since pretty much every Jew knows what Jews for J is trying to do.

I grew up attending a reform temple. I remember a full day, in Hebrew school, dedicated to identifying “Jews of Jesus” and defeating their recruitment techniques a la “what do you do when a stranger offers you candy on the play ground.”
