Hell yes. It works in Chungking Express because it's about neither the 1960s or California, but almost every other film that uses it is always an on-the-nose reference to the 1960s or California.

They did but they didn't wait fifteen seconds to replug.

¡Viva la Univision!

Hopefully not the half with all the porn.

Badhombres.com is just some old website dedicated to Western outlaws:

Yeah, it was released in 2004, so I don't think that you went from 13 to 30 in the span of 12 years.

They used it in Apollo 13, Contact, and Michael in the 90s—because that song can alternatively be about space, aliens, or angels.

Yeah, but wait until the post-Millenial generation wants to nostalgically relive their childhood in the early 2000s(vomits). I'll probably just be ready for another wave of 1950s and 1960s nostalgia at that point.

Also "Turn, Turn, Turn", "Get Together", "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)", and "Somebody To Love". Let's just say that if it was on the Forest Gump soundtrack, it's a huge cliche at this point.

Mr. Robot, why? Bad robot!

The late 80s was really just one big Joel Silver-produced, Shane Black-penned action flick. Those guys really set the feel for violent action blockbusters for a few years.

His next role will be in a remake of the George Burns comedy: Oh, Gad!

California has the most Mormons outside of Utah in terms of numbers, the entire Western US is full of Mormons, so it's not as if they didn't already have a presence in the state. I'm not defending anything to do with the politics of the LDS church though. And yes their money funded that measure though also

Well, you can say the same thing about plenty of Catholics though also(who also supported Prop 8, I think you're confused when you say it was defeated, it was passed as an anti-gay marriage measure and supported by Catholics and Mormons). I've got Catholic relatives who are just as regressive in their beliefs as any

Can't wait for their hit game shows, Wheel of Fascism and The Price is White.

Great avatar/comment synergy.

Hey have you had a Trump Steak? Best steaks you can buy, only available at The Sharper Image!

Yeah, Mormonism itself is strange, but the practitioners at least seem nice for the most part.

The Mormons I've known are actually fairly nice people, come from families that value education and seem to be mostly decent, peaceful folks.

Wow, Kip Winger is way more complicated than I thought.
