Psycho III is really good. But I do kind of feel that Psycho II is kind of a lost gem. Regardless of your feelings about the end. Should it be on this list? Perhaps not. But it’s pretty good. All things considered.

Happy to see Maniac on here. Joe Spinell was a gem. I can almost see Pearl as its female counterpart, as strange as that sounds, as both films follow the life of the slasher instead of the slashers’ victims.

I like April Fool’s Day, which I know messes with the conventional slasher format, which along with its sense of humor is why I like it

I can’t really even argue that this is a list by someone who doesn’t like slashers because some of the selections here are so fascinating. One of the better AVC lists in a minute.

I know this is very uncool, but I like Rachael Ray. Her taco pasta recipe sounds stupid, but it’s delicious. 

Last year my best friend was assaulted in her home by a boyfriend she hadn’t known that long, and the cops came and dragged him off - she had to go to court, get a restraining order, etc. I really struggled at first with her decision not to go to court to testify - she was afraid he’d come back to her house and hurt…

I think “You’re Next” is one of the best slashers of the 2010/20s. And its commentary on the elite feels more biting than the recent trend we’ve seen lately in media attempting the same theme.

I liked the Friday the 13th remake but I would put Part 2 of the Original if I was going to put any Friday on the list. Maybe even Part 4 or 6 before the remake. 

The “even odder performances” reference for Sleepaway Camp has to refer to Desiree Gould’s turn as “Aunt Martha”.  I have friends who won’t even watch past her performance because she scared them so much that they couldn’t imagine what the rest of the movie had in store.

A list of the best slasher movies of all times and you forgot The Burning? Get the fuck outta here with that weaksauce list.

Happy (and kinda surprised) to see classics like Sleepaway Camp, The Prowler, Slumber Party Massacre, House on Sorority Row, Candyman, and My Bloody Valentine get some love, especially from this site! Only ones missing are The Burning, A Bay of Blood, Dressed to Kill, and Death Valley.
