I recall in Darlene’s room that she had a poster of The Endless on her wall. My family watched Rosanne around the same time I was reading The Sandman and that convergence was odd but also nice.

As an Old, I find “Let’s go!” to be an endearing, insightful and delightful part of enthusiastic commentary of recent years. It’s as if the folks up in the booth need say no more when describing an intense and unexpected competitive moment.

Calm down there, rogueIndy. That kinda heat is gonna get someone hurt.

I did my best on Jerusalem...but...it was a slog and ultimately I felt like it was more of a battle to read than to enjoy. On the whole, I think I got about 400 pages in and I kept thinking that it was going to click for me at some point. It didn’t.

So Pandemic: Asteroid Strike?

I never thought about this at the time (since I hadn’t read an Iain Banks book until I was in my mid 30s), but the Q Continuum and the Culture ships seem to have a lot in common.

In regards to Europa or Titan or Encalades—how warm are the waters under 10 miles of ice? I’m just kind of curious when the article was talking about warm interiors.

I love everything about your post.

Great topic!

Great topic!

HZD—got it in the bundle for the PS4, played it a good bit and realized that it wasn’t a good fit for me. I gave it a few more tries...forgot where I was, what was important, and how to control the character—then that was that.

Perhaps it is because I am now an Old or perhaps what I want from my gaming time has

That is a great point re: Iron Man and Thor. (and your other points, too!)

This actually made me wonder—in the comic books there’s no need to worry about the people “ageing out” of character. While I understand the mantle of a hero can be passed, I also would think Marvel/Disney will want there to be a Tony Stark or Steve Rogers around. Think we’ll get something hand-wavy or certain

Been thinking Hollow Knight will be my next purchase. Just finished Blasphemous and haven’t been sure about doing another Metroidvania game right away...but then I keep hearing about the little things it does right (like flavor text).

I’m only giving one star today and I give it to you.

I imagine there will be a large amount of complaining. Some folks are going to leave the game forever. Others will wish that things were like they used to be. And Hasbro/WotC will make millions of dollars.

Agreed. Wonder the meaning behind Silver Helmet slowing down and Gold Helmut moving on. Was there a conversation in real life (however amicable) where S.H. was ready to stop but G.H. was happy to continue, but because of their strong relationship, G.H. knew that this was how it had to be?

As a kid, my buddy had Race Drivin’ on his PC (maybe a 386? 486? I can’t remember). One of my first “funny video game memories” was during this game. While we went over a jump, both he and I collectively leaned up and off our seats...attempting to peer down “into” the computer as if that would help us see the track

Also worth noting, I didn’t realize that Moon Knight was going to be a TV Show because...well...reading.

Something about that first sentence in the Ethan Hawke quote seems peculiar. “Well. It’s where I am as an actor.” As in, “I guess I’m at a point in my career where I’ve got to do an MCU movie now. Good thing folks don’t know about Moon Knight; that way I can say I did an ‘Indie MCU movie.’” I dunno—maybe I’m just
