I'm not sure this timeline checks out

You could make a really great Pearl Jam album out of Pearl Jam songs that aren't on normal Pearl Jam records:

Tough to beat her and Bats in that flashback episode.

It's amazing. TT:Go Robin is one of the best depictions of mental illness I've seen on TV.

DCAU Flash is just the best. All heart.

Vibe or go home

I thought the DCAU made an interesting choice in having the Thanagarians voice acted by people of Latino heritage. Oh my god as I'm typing this I'm realizing they were playing literal aliens who wanted to conquer America.

Because the author clearly didn't realize that Swamp Thing didn't transform from a white man, it was a pre-existing elemental force that consumed a white man (including his memories). Swamp Thing is not, and was never, Alec Holland.

It would be tough to separate Sanger's views on birth control from her belief in eugenics. The former sprang from the latter.

Young Joseph Stalin had hair that would be considered legitimately cool today.

There were plenty of people in the early 1900s who weren't eugenicists. The Catholic church, for instance. Just like there were plenty of people in America at the time of the Founding who believed slavery was an affront to the laws of God and men. Being a product of your times gets you some leeway, but it shouldn't be

I have the same issues watching movies about slavery. I just can't believe the things that people thought were acceptable, and I have a hard time accepting "well that's just a product of the times they lived in" as an excuse. I might just be projecting my own feelings to the general public - god knows I've been wrong

I'm not sure who the audience for this movie is though in the sense of making it profitable/successful. A movie about her is going to be pretty unpleasant no matter where you are on the political spectrum.

Because there are costs associated with manufacturing and selling 20 things that don't scale. You lose multiplicative overhead; you acquire additional risk in both directions.

I can't believe they took Bodhi on the mission instead of the Shadow Thieves

America's precious gypsum must be hoarded!

Awesome, just like pre-war Brooklyn. They should get a stickball game going.

Just like cities, there are good ones and bad ones. I was a life-long city kid and moved to a Chicago western suburb for the normal reasons a few years ago. I love it. Varied and beautiful architecture, wooded lots and natural features, giant natural parks that aren't as antiseptic and programmed as city parks.

Is it weird to spend Spring Break in Cancun?

In a McMansion-style subdivision there is usually shared greenspace behind the units.
