It’s a little bit sad when you realize “Reno 911" featured some of the most responsible police work in the United States.

Exactly. He should have armed himself with the beef jerky, and not the sunflower seeds. Emasculating.

“I’d have just shot the fuckers.”
-American police officers

Once you do immoral things like doxxing someone, you lose the moral high ground.

Real asshole move on your part. But hey - why be the better man - or woman - when you can just keep feeding the hate/hysteria . . . You stooped right to their level. Feel good down there ?

No writer attribution? Cowardly. Also, I don’t approve of doxing anyone, even if they are garbage people. Work within the system or change it. Don’t be a little bitch about it. Let me go track down HamNo’s number and a few other choice writers since it’s open game.

He’s a douche, but this is not a good tactic

How is it Trump’s policy if it’s been done by the past two administrations as well?

It’s only 7mph *if* the vehicle in front of you is static.

This whole discussion is around one of the worst situations imaginable: being forced to make a quick decision about a large object at a dead stop directly in front of you. Reaction time is one thing, the laws of physics are another.

Cruise control keeps you attentive because you are still steering the wheel

My car had both active lane assist and adaptive cruise control. Your description of Autopilot as “useless unless it’s fully autonomous” is bullshit.

I regularly drive 8-12 hours in a stint.

Radar cruise control is a life-saver.

I drive slower and safer, because without radar cruise, every jerk who goes slower than me causes me stress. I have to brake, get right on their butt until they MOVE OVER.

So I try to coordinate my cruise control with others traveling around

People cut in front of other people *all the time*, whether they have a 2-sec gap or a 0.5-sec gap. Assholes gonna be assholes.

its only 25-30ft at 8-10mph. 68mph is 100ft/sec. So at highway speeds, even in traffic, that can be over 100ft, or as much as 300ft (80mph)

I’ve never driven anything with this new adaptive cruise crap in it so i don’t understand the point you’re making at him

This is why I don’t understand Autopilot. If it “requires” you to be 100% attentive, hands on the wheel, foot at the ready to smash the brake - then what is the freaking point at all? It’s completely and utterly hopeless and useless.

The two second rule is for fools.

Even at it’s closest setting, my VWs ACC is still way far back from the car ahead of it, enough that cars easily jump in front of me (DeMuro did a video about the issue). I can understand the Tesla wanting to be closer so the driver is less annoyed, but safety must come first.
