I don’t read many comic books anymore (Saga, Wicked + Divine, Trees being notable exceptions), so I appreciate when you point out series I should be reading. I’m ordering the first two TPBs now. Thanks!

I’m a Pepper too.

I will not be able to sleep knowing that Nora McDonaugh won’t be on The Tonight Show. How can a kind-of celebrity be denied his freedom of speech just because he was last relevant in sometime mumble mumble and supports oh fuck I can’t even finish this comment. Besides Netflix, who bizarrely enough is a fan of his, who

I’m with you on “Freeway of Love” but I’m also a huge fan of “Another Night”, “Who’s Zoomin’ Who?” and “Sister’s Are Doin’ It For Themselves”. I about wore that tape out, LOL.

You have exactly 3 minutes to come up with four shows that no human being could ever reasonably want to watch. Bonus points if you can shoehorn an actress that is universally loved into the show and still no one would want to watch it. Ready, set, go...

Invincible never really worked for me, and I wanted it to. I bought most of the series’ run in TPB. Robert Kirkman has some very intriguing ideas. But he’s not a very good author. He’s not very good with character work, and while he is talented when it comes to plot, he can be hit and miss. He throws out all these

I don’t know what it is about that opening Tony performance, but I’m always crying by the end of it. What an amazing performance!

This was my least favorite of John Hughes movies, and I would say Hughes is overrated, but Breakfast Club will always be one of my favorite movies, so yeah, there’s that.

My favorite (real) Gay Porn Title of all time: I Know Who You Blew Last Summer

Honestly, I could care less if “Peppermint” is good or bad. Jennifer Garner is back kicking ass, and I want to see it.

I found Under the Dome extremely irritating on many levels. Seriously, two serial killers, the country’s biggest meth plant, etc. in one small town? And the ending was horrible. Stephen King isn’t as horrible at endings as some critics claim, but damn, when he fails the dismount, he fails it big time.

Wow. You’re a crocheted phrase on Grandma’s pillows. I won’t be watching season two - so yeah, thanks for your advice? - but also, you’re an idiot. If you don’t like that assessment, don’t read this comment.

As someone who thought about suicide and ended up in the hospital because I attempted to kill myself, I’m going to say something that might be extremely controversial. In the hours of crying leading up to my attempt, preceded by weeks and weeks of constant depression, I never once thought, “I’m going to record 13

As an atheist, the headline pisses me off. The song isn’t a bad song. It’s actually pretty inspirational. It doesn’t apply to me; I don’t believe in mythical gods and such. But it doesn’t have to apply to me. I’m not the target audience.

I’ve seen it for about three years, maybe? Instead of using the term “men” or “Latino” to encompass everyone, regardless of gender, Latinx is non-gender-specific. And before anyone complains about political correctness, please explain to the class why mankind includes everyone but womankind includes only females, LOL.

This made me laugh. Sorry, but if someone can curse a writer out, the reverse should also be true. I agree that AV Club is one of the LAST sites that should be complaining about ads; JFC, you have a daily feature hawking Amazon “deals”. But if someone’s going to get all in my face, hell yeah, I’m telling them to fuck

Brian Michael Bendis is hit and miss to me - when he does character-based stories, there’s no one that can come close to equaling him, but when he does action, he’s just not very good. I always thought if he teamed up with a strong plot-writer, he would be unstoppable.

Dude, they weren’t going to pay you shit to be in the movie.

I am no longer an Amazon Prime member. I’m not going to say it’s because they make these pilots available, then don’t follow through on shows that I would love, like Chris Carter’s “The After”. But I’m not going to say it wasn’t because of that, either.

I did finish it. I kept hoping at least it might have a strong finish. And in almost every episode there were scenes and entire stretches when it was almost as good as the first two seasons.
