How many Nazi collaborators were there? If this is such an important priority for The Americans, then why haven't we seen them do this work any other time in the last 5 years?

So they've gone from planting bugs to surveil the top people in the US government, stealing stealth technology, stealing biological weapons, etc. etc., to assassinating some semi-random old lady that we didn't know existed until the beginning of the same episode for something she did 40+ years prior that probably

It was my favorite show for years but I fast-forwarded through parts of that stupid wedding ceremony and I literally fell asleep halfway through the most recent episode, when the food woman was being interrogated in the most boring possible way. Why I'm watching fictional KGB agents interrogate some fictional Russian

The Americans has always had two aspects to it. One is spy stuff—karate fights, surveillance gear, going on cool missions like stealing stealth technology, handling the logistics of who you have to crush with an automobile in order to work an asset, etc.

You're right, I misread the question.

Maybe I misunderstood the OP's question. I thought he was saying Jimmy might screw up re: the terms of his suspension, be forced to stop practicing law as Jimmy, and thus start practicing as Saul.

At that point I don't think it would be up to them, it would have broken his agreement and they would have no choice.

Man, looks like everybody got a different read on this episode than I did.

The show wouldn't stoop that low, right? Jimmy tricks the state bar of New Mexico with… sunglasses and a fake mustache?

Funny, my favorite 2 TV shows too. Although The Americans has been super boring lately. :(

Yeah. I like the new seasons but I also miss S1. Luckily it's so good that I didn't mind rewatching it at all recently.

I doubt the FBI has agents overseas now. I believe they are legally prohibited from operating outside of the US.

Man I shudder to think about the logistics of how Stan would contact Oleg. I mean, call Moscow's 411 line? But, surveillance. It'd have to be a pretty elaborate operation, like how the CIA is communicating with Oleg. Impossible for one person to pull off by himself. Times have really changed. Today, Stan could just

Darnit, I think you're right, and I just re-watched that episode a few weeks ago. I forget who they were trying to retaliate over. I still don't remember anything about the CIA but it seems I'm forgetful.

Maybe, dunno. If Stan was rank-and-file then yeah. But he's a guy who can get face time with the heads of the FBI and CIA no problem.

I find it riveting but it's interesting how the tone of the show has morphed over the seasons. I recently re-watched season 1 with a group of friends who were new to the show and it's amazing how much action they packed into each episode, vs. what's going on now.

Thanks for the tip!

Yeah it's not like Stan can just Facebook-friend Oleg and ask what's up. Interesting point about how times were different back then.

I think you're underestimating Stan's importance. He's a pretty high ranking guy in an important department. It would probably cause more of an international incident than you might think.

No, Vlad was a bunch of drunk FBI agents at Stan's house party planning to kidnap a Russian on their own time in retaliation for Amador.
