And they’re helping cement the Switch’s rightful place as The Next Vita.

Good point. I mean, everybody knows that the best way to look at a game’s qualities is to look at its sales figures. Call of Duty was the biggest selling game on earth for several years because it was the pinnacle of gaming, period.
Nothing can save a game, when the core gameplay of the game is dull. I tried No Man’s Sky and was amazed at how dull it is. Playing the game seems as satisfying as running the calculator app on your computer. Best to just move on... forget games made by programming geniuses, we need games made by designer geniuses...
As a kid, I remember the time when I would refuse to play a game without reading the whole manual first... yep. Thankfully, I gave up on that long ago (although whenever I start a game, the first thing I do is go through the settings... always!)
Would be nice if they released Persona on the Switch. This way, Japanese high school students could use their breaks to play a game about going to school as a High school student :-D
I actually realised yesterday that I created my PSN ID nearly 10 years ago now. That’s a long time, in the digital world. I’m happy with my name so I’m not massively bummed by that, but it would be nice for Sony to finally add this feature. More importantly, they need to enable region changing, because, hey, guess…
I doubt Sea of Thieves will be cancelled as it seems to be quite far into development and that’s about the only thing left for Xbox this year, but... it looks so freaking crappy that it would probably be best for them (this is going to be the Xbox’s No Man’s Sky, basically... I’m calling it)
The problem with E3 conferences is that, since it has become this sort of “competition”, to see who can have the most amazing conference, they will announce anything they can. So, they announce things that have been barely worked on, or that will be released in 2 or 3 years, sometimes more.
When you think that…
It’s funny though... that the dock should make you feel like a “safe” place to put your Switch so that it’s safe and nothing happens to it... and it turns out to be the opposite of that.
I just keep thinking someone on Kotaku Splitscreen is going to get a prediction right :)
It’s cool to hate popular things though. Gotta show how different you are to get those clicks!
Do they, now?
Not to mention the shoddy overall quality of the system. I like the concept of the console, and Zelda looks really good and I’d like to play it, but everything I see/read about the console’s finish (left JoyCon connectivity, plastic screen, dead pixels, cheap stand, etc.) really puts me off. As usual with Nintendo, it…
Don’t forget Nier coming out this week, too ;)
You do, I discovered the series with P4: Golden, and even though there are references to previous games (mainly P3), they are more like easter eggs which you’ll appreciate if you know the references, but you won’t miss anything for not knowing what they are about.
Also, it’s the first Persona game where the talking animal mascot won’t make you want to put an Evoker to your head.
Same here. God knows I poured hours in Destiny and loved every second of it, but I want to play something that feels fresh and new. Can’t wait!
I keep reading these stories thinking “Someone on Kotaku Splitscreen got a prediction right :)“
Also note, that towards the end of the video, we get to hear a little bit (and see some amazing artwork) about the new fantasy RPG ATLUS said they were working on a couple of weeks back. The art looks really sweet. I like the idea of ATLUS giving a shot at a different style. If they succeed in making it as cool as…
Agreed.
