Someone that has a console with a drive get game used games, get lent some games by friends, etc, and when they buy games, they buy off amazon/gamestop/you name it.
Someone with a digital console will buy absolutely all of their content from the PlayStation store.

Sony might be prepared to drop the price of the digital

I quite like Dead Cells, but I’m not a massive fan.
I’d say Dead Cells is more “harsh” and punishing: you want to keep upgrading the same colour? Fine, here’s less HP. Oh you died? Goodbye all those cells you were carrying.

There’s a lot of story. I mean, even after 70+ hours of gameplay there is still new content! And quality content, too! As for playing, some upgrades you get are permanent: upgrades for Zagreus’ mirror in the bedroom, upgrades for the weapons, etc, so there is stuff to get to get stronger.

I think there will be post release content for the game. I don’t see why not.

Actually, if you curae, it's "blood and darkness!" 😀

I played more than 70 hours in Early Access (seriously this game in Early Access was already better than many "finished" games), but I stupidly lost my save, so I have to start all over. I thought I'd wait for the 1.0 to do that, though.

Yes, it is a good deal. You’re not getting screwed over paying twice what you would, and get a console upfront with Game Pass, and therefore a good bunch of games to play right away.

It’s accurate.

You’re not. At best, it costs roughly the same.

That’s inaccurate. The console is $499. If you add 2 years of Game Pass Ultimate (which contains Xbox Live Gold), that’s 23 months at $14.99, but the first month costs $1. So the grand total is $844.77.

If the console comes with a voucher for a month of Xbox Live or Game Pass, it could end up costing less.

Then again, the console industry used to have:

I won’t be buying one simply because I have to see first if Microsoft is actually able to deliver new, worthwhile exclusives to play on their box, rather than another Halo and another Gears of War.

Tony Canary I believe.

A bit surprised that they included Mario Maker, though, for that reason.

Microsoft are masters at that. When they announced that the Xbox One would ship without a headset for Xbox LIVE, the internet complained, and they ended up including one with the console. However, when they redesigned the console, they took the opportunity to remove the headset again: Xbox One S/X ships without one.

That’s pretty genius. Also, saves on hiring level designers to design tracks...

Source?

A name like that and this doesn’t include 3D Land and 3D World??

:-(

You know all this is so that they can do that joke again when they reveal the console on stage : “we call it our worst kept secret...”

Also, maybe one day Ubisoft will finally understand that slapping Tom Clancy’s name on games acts more as a deterrent than an incentive to have any interest in those games.
